I know that Chris, Justin and I are planning on going, but is anyone else planning on it? I have never gone to Connecticon, so this'll be a new experience, although I've heard that it's not as well done as Anime Boston. Chris, Justin and I are going as Fire Emblem characters (Black Knight, Micaiah, and Sothe respectively), and my sister and some of her friends I think are also going as other Fire Emblem characters, so we'll have a whole group going, which'll be awesome! ^__^ Sooo... yeah, anyone else going? |

Seeing as I live 10 min from the convention center, I will def be there. I actually like CTcon better than AB. Although I am biased as it was my first con. It's smaller sure, and last year the musical was poorly planned out for time, but it feels a bit more intimate and friendly. Also you get a nice dose of the sci-fi/fantasy since it's a multi-genre convention. I'll be going as Chidori Friday and Yui from K-on on the Saturday. Also, I think you got your cosplay listing mixed up a bit as I am fairly certain you will not be cosplaying Sothe. xD |

Ditto to all of this. We must secretly be the same person... perhaps one of those multiple personality types who never realize it. As far as cosplay goes, I might re-use my Spirit Albarn outfit. I might not. Maybe I'll buy miscellaneous costume items from E-bay and confuse people. Anything is possible.

I definitely would go, but I highly doubt it as I'm takin' two summer classes that both run through that time frame. D: If I even decide to go, I'd most likely just go on Saturday. As of now, I'll only be goin' to three cons -- Katsu, AB, and ANext. Personally, out of all of the cons that I've been to (AnimeNext, Anime Boston, Connecticon, and Katsucon), I actually prefer bigger cons, as I find that there's much more to do and everything's not cramped together. Like the first con I went to, AnimeNext back in '03, it was really small back then (definitely not so much now), so everything was like right next to each other (not a bad thing, and I find that harder to find with larger cons), though I did feel a bit cramped in the rooms because everything was so close to one another. The dealer's room was rather annoying because the booths were so close to each other, it was really hard to NOT ram into another person. ^^;; |

You all know I'll be there :-) And this time I'm bringing the AMV heat, since CTCon has less competition than AB |

I personally love CTCon, and like that it's smaller and you actually feel a bit more camaraderie. Plus, I've always liked the dealer's room better, partly by atmosphere, and partly by the fact that they have pocky and ramune (and the ramune is cheaper than the soda around normally), and the fact that there is some more non-anime stuff there as well. That of course ties into the multi-genre thing as a reason to go. I mean, heck I got the autographs of Robert Picardo and Ethan Philips there last year. That being said, yeah, last year was a bit of an off year (and I personally had a rough time of it on top of it all), but I'd still say CTCon is my favorite. Now, after all that gushing....I'm actually not sure I'm gonna make it this year. I know for a fact I'm stuck working on the Friday, and I don't know if I can have the energy to deal with another Con. But that being said, I'll probably give in, in the end. |

I should be sufficiently recovered from Otakon (2 weeks before CTCon, in Baltimore Inner Harbor) by then, since they're not on consecutive weeks this year
Not sure I'm cosplaying, I might wind up like that guy who shows up to all the conventions dressed as Silent Bob. Although, that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Is anyone going to Otakon this year, BTW? |

Actually.... it looks like Chris and I won't be going. We spent waaaay too much on Anime Boston and a new TV. :-( I hope you all have fun though! |
