So we are all here because we like anime, but what else do you enjoy doing in your spare time? I probably have to many things I end up putting money into:

-Photagraphy: I have a DSLR that I really like now, but then again part of me wants to drop $1000 on a new kickass body so I can replace my somewhat outdated model.

-Airsoft: I used to airsoft a lot, I have a rifle sitting back at home that I am waiting to fix, I just need to order the part.

-My MINI Cooper S: I love tinkering with my car. And when I am not tinkering with her, I am driving her. And yes for the record my MINI is a she. And over the summer about every two weeks or so I would go out and autocross, which was awesome.

Nowadays I'm less-so into the anime and manga, not because I don't like it, I just dont have the time and patience to appreciate it as much as I used to.
Things I do when I'm not drowning in homework and class, random other school associated things and my job:

Playing Beatmania IIDX: one of the best inventions ever. I'm not very good yet, certainly can't compare to the people i know who play. it'll take me a long time to get that good.

Hanging out with my roomies and friends: social eating is always good, and maybe stopping by the SU gameroom for some ITG is cool.

Playing NDS: I'm addicted to puzzle quest, and I get a new game every so often. I just got a bunch of new ones yesterday and i'm excited to play those!

Going to the mall: I'm not a normal girl if i dont go to the mall once in a while.

I knit: on RARE occasion. It rocks though, I have mad skill.

I like doing interesting/new/fun things: every once in a while I'll end up going randomly to RI or MA or somewhere random for a cool weekend getaway.

Rhythm games: I've gotten to the point where I just put a blanket title down and claim them all as part of my hobby list. Be it DDR, ITG, PIU, Beatmania, Pop'n music, Guitar Hero, Guitar Freaks, Drum mania, Taiko no Tatsujin, Para Para Paradise, Osu Tatakae Ouendan, Jubeat.... I love them all. But I still can't make it past the very end of Vertex on Expert >.>.

Roleplaying games (the real kind): D&D, Shadowrun, occasionally a dabble into something else (White wolf anyone?). If it has dice and competent roleplayers, I'll be there.

Computers: I built my desktop from scratch 4 years ago, and I'm actually getting ready to get a new one (though I found a website which looks cheap and convenient where you shop for parts and they assemble them for you; saves me the hassle of troubleshooting each part individually).

Philosophy: Interesting questions, interesting answers. There's much to be learned just thinking, listening, and discussing.

Other.... hobbies?? There is such a thing???

Well, there's the usual stuff, work, reading a lot, spending too much time online (as always, I'm trying to cut down... I'm down to mostly just following links people send me, but the problem is I get lost and it takes me a while to find my way back), and sleeping (my favorite)

I wander a lot. Usually to weird places like Saskatchewan or Detroit. I haven't left the hemisphere yet, but I'm up to 29 states and 7 provinces.

I do the photo thing sometimes (conventions and the last two halloween parties, for example) although not quite as much as I used to. I have a flickr page somewhere that needs updating.

I've run a server out of my living room for the last few years. Not sure exactly what I'm going to do with it but for now it makes for a good file dump.

Some Mondays, I play pool waaay out in Danbury with some people I used to work with. It's pretty much the only regular thing I still do besides the club -- I actually started doing both at around the same time! I'm not great at it but I can usually beat people who haven't played before. :)

I go to a lot of conventions, but that kind of falls into the anime category.

I'm into gaming when there's the time, but I only have a PC and I don't play online (much). I mostly like the stuff I can actually finish and have a weakness for the classics or indie-gaming, for some odd reason. That's actually where most of my icons here are from (currently, it's an Orb from 1988's Manhunter: New York)

(Mmm, not enough here, gotta make something up...)

I'm also an avid sumo wrestler (welterweight division, of course). I wanted to turn pro, but I couldn't get much of a topknot going. And okay, I was caught doping too. Whoops. :ph43r:

Lessee... Besides video games, reading, and sleeping, I also enjoy:

~Cross-stitching/Quilting. I'm working on a samurai for Chris, it was supposed to be done Christmas of last year, but some things don't get done as fast as I'd like them to be. I also have a tiger I just got, and I'm sure half a dozen other half-finished projects that are around here somewhere... And right now I don't have any money for fabric for quilting, nor do I have room to set up my sewing table.

~Magic the Gathering. I've been playing for a few years now, but I just recently got back into the game by my friend who is holding a tourney in the near future.

~Roleplaying Games. Mainly Shadowrun and D&D. I also play Maplestory, a MMORPG. It is entertaining and a little kiddish, but it's cute and I get to totally kick some mushroom ass.

~DDR. I haven't played in a while because our neighbor complained when I played before, but occasionally I'll bring it out in the basement and play for a little bit. Hopefully next year we'll move to a place where I can play it all the time. Gotta lose some weight so I can fit into my wedding dress, or so my family tells me. <_<

Wait.. people have... hobbies?! AND SPARE TIME?!

*cough*

Um.. I do a lot of working and then sleeping off the effects of said working. But otherwise I:

-spend excessive amounts of time on various avatar forums (gaia-style). but mostly i'm just on menewsha since i mod there.

-am generally crafty: I sew for cosplay and knit every so often. although i'm backed up so far on my knitting that i don't have the heart to pick it all up again. xD and i doodle on my tablet every so often.

-play games: rhythm games... DS games.... roleplaying games (DnD and Shadowrun)

Um.. yea.
