Been a while...oh well...

Samurai 7 Complete Series - $39.99 (Best Buy)
I saw a few episodes of this show at Anime Boston and it seemed to be really cool...for a price like that for a full 26 episodes is a real good deal.

Yeah I always keep an eye out at best buy, they seem to like to sell DVDs for retardedly low prices.

We should try and actually... coordinate and organize this.

Ya, Best Buy is the best seller (zing!) for anime in my opinion. I noticed recently that there is a sub-company rising whose symbol is a three leaf clover or something, and they are packaging and distributing Funimation's stuff. Although most things were a damn good price ($44.99 or below), the packaging on most things was terrible. If you take a good look at the set you can notice that the discs sometimes are in paper slip cases and that the outside packaging itself is rather flimsy. Samurai 7, however, seemed to be legit with the plastic cases for each of the 5(maybe 6) DVDs in the set, so obviously its rather random for what series make it to the good packaging for the clover company. Moral of the story: take a close look at the packaging on an anime, and if it is too inexpensive you might be setting yourself up for some poor designing.

Eh; for the most part, I'm inclined to disregard the packaging altogether unless it's a series I'm hardcore fanboying over (see: Yu Yu Hakusho).

Alright, nevermind on that previous deal...time to one up it!

So, I found out that if you ever want anything by Funimation (DBZ, FMA, Samurai 7, etc) just get it off amazon.com because apparently they steal their stuff and therefore can sell it at amazingly low prices. For example Samurai 7 complete set is only $25 on amazon...$10 cheaper than Best Buy. Just about everything for Funimation is better on amazon, but I warn you it is not a universal law that amazon is better. ADV stuff seems to be priced maybe a little bit higher than Best Buy in most cases so beware, it is just Funimation.

Hate to beat a dead horse, but Amazon yet again has some amazing deals but sometimes in places you may not look. I've been a big fan for quite some time now of their mp3 service simply because every day amazon has a different (and usually really good) CD/album for $2.99. Ya, $3 for an entire album...not that most of the world cares considering majority of people find ways to get their music for the low low price of "free," but no harm in trying.

Hokay, it has been a real real real real real^inf. long time...but whatever I became real real real real real^inf. broke in these past few weeks.

So, I went to gamestop this past weekend and traded in my copy of GTA IV since that game was possibly the greatest disappointment to mankind...but in return i used my $20 credit and got Burnout Paradise ($27 used) and it is one of the best buys in the history of video games. Now approx $30 might seem like a lot of money, but the amount of content in the game will keep you much busier than GTA IV. Every aspect of the game is breathtaking and the online multiplayer is the most seamless experience ever...seriously three button presses (d-pad right) in game and a friend can magically appear in your city (way too cool).

To sum up (and then some):

Burnout Paradise PS3 ($27 used Gamestop) - Polished to a definitive sheen and too good to be true gameplay, soundtrack, graphics, and multiplayer.

Blast Works Wii ($20 Amazon) - Build, share, and destroy your own side scrolling shooter in virtually limitless and intuitive ways. Easy sharing and customization makes this game an instant classic...or at least would if you didn't have to rely on the wiimote in the creator (shaky hands while making models not welcome).

Not really a game in itself...but a way to get around things...

For Rock Band 2, you can import just about all the songs from Rock Band [1] for only $5. So, if you never owned or even played Rock Band one,

1. Get Rock Band 2
2. Steal a friend's copy of the first game
3. Import (for only $5)
4. Enjoy

This only works for PS3 and Xbox360 versions though (since they have mass internal storage)...so if you have the wii or ps2 version I feel very very sorry for you.

Heyo, big sale comin on up to yalls (english?)

Apparently Best Buy is going to sell DDR Supernova (one) bundles (game and pad) for $15 this BLACK FRIDAY. If anything, you can always try to resell the pack on ebay for more than 15 and try to come out on top.

Beyond that I guess Super Street Figher II Turbo HD Remix is worth a mention ringing in at $15 as well for download on XBL or PSN...that's pretty legit in my book.

Umm, ya, so, that's all I guess...unless you are in a strange search for Parappa the Rappa 2 ($7 used) or Amplitude/Frequency ($10 used) like myself. Other than than I can't really give cool quotes on anything else, but with Black Friday approaching rapidly I think everyone will be able to find a stupid good sale...good luck!

I find that these sorts of deals are often there when you aren't looking for them, and never there when you are. For example, there are apparantly all of 3 copies of Guilty Gear accent core in the state >.>, so I bought it online through gamestop.

You're telling me...I have been on the hunt for Parappa the Rappa 2 for the longest time.

See, at least Parappa the Rappa is old. Accent core is -new-, it's the latest in the guilty gear fighting series (Guilty Gear 2 doesn't count, as it isn't a fighter), and it's new enough that TGA has an arcade cabinet of it. imported fairly recently.

The important thing is, come tomorrow afternoon I'll have accent core, and not have to deal with Potemkin's gimpled combo anymore =D

Way to spell your character's name wrong Max.

He would smash you for that if he were real.
