I'm sure most of you are familiar with the manga artist Ken Akamatsu. What do you think of his works? Personally I think Love Hina was his best. It never gets old to re-read that series. He has done AI Love You and is currently working on Mahou Sensei Negima. Both are good but I still have that soft spot for Love Hina. So talk about him lol. |

Love Hina rules. Hands down. It was the second series I lent to my brother to read, after Yotsuba&!, and he loved it. I do personally think Love Hina was his magnum opus, I find it to be funny and yet surprisingly well-made, artistically and plotwise. And let's not forget Kaolla Su. |

I haven't read Love Hina, but I've certainly heard a lot about it. It's a lot of volumes to buy... Justin is letting be slowly borrow Negima which is cute... but definitely more geared toward the male sensibility. *shifty eyes* I like his art style though.. it's definitely very detailed. |

Love Hina was my first manga and I also have all of AI love you, but I think Negima is my fav. It starts off in the same sort of harem anime way, but it's become so much more than that and I languish waiting for new volumes to come out. Also I love how he has a caster gun! XD |

I always thought his stuff (especially Love Hina) was pretty repititious and should have stopped trying to get all the cheep laughs it tried to get. |

Wasn't that kinda why Love Hina was such a success though? The same things happen to Keitaro all the time, he screws up horribly and ends up in some awkward position. I think it would have been hard to come up with different things completely myself. But you say his stuff and specify Love Hina. So are you referring to the situation that he places his characters in, the mood of his story or its plot? What do you mean by his stuff? |

The fact that 90% of the humor revolved around Keitaro SOMEHOW copping a a feel, peeking on them, or saying somethin stupid. And the fact that it always ends with him getting hit. Seriously, it would have been funny if it were just an ironic situation (him being in a girls boarding home) but that type of humor was too frequent and it really killed a lot of the drama in the manga. |

Which reinforces the fact that when I say: Negima! is alot better then anything else that Ken did. |
