Think of it this way... Summer = No social life = working all the time = getting lots of money = buying cool stuff!! Brilliant!

Summer for me = just like the rest of the year only warmer and no anime club meetings. And some vacation, though I have no clue where to go. Oooh, and I wrote/am writing a firewall-proof AIM client on my server so I can get on from work. YAY. Too bad most of the people I know use MSN or Yahoo. The really part comes on 7/13 (Connecticon) and 7/20 (Otakon). Anyone going? Two convention weekends in a row is new to me, even if one's local. That's a sensory overload in the making, that is. |

Same here. I'd like to go to Connecticon, but it's the same weekend as the summer play, and since I'm in the play I can't skip out on performance night >_< But Otakon I'll see about doing. |

Wow, how on earth did I miss that?? Now I have something to do this weekend, woo hoo!! (EDIT: Looks like it's only in one place in NYC? Must be checking the wrong sites)
3 weekends in a row.. are these convention people trying to kill us or something? The NYC Asian Film Festival is also running between 6/22 and 7/8. Among a lot of other things, they're showing both live action Death Note movies, for everyone annoyed at Anime Boston for yanking them from their schedule. Not sure when exactly they're showing, though. With my luck, some weekend where I'm stuck working. |

Oh no, Welcome to the NHK is over....how am ever going to live on without the NHK...i feel as if that sound from the show Brain Games (it was on TV a lot when i was a kid and it was quite possibly the best two hour single episode show i have ever seen), but anyways the sound from Brain Games at the end where the guy in a computerized voice (but still with emotion and intensity) goes: "Brain Games...is over" and then the screen fades to black. This is where my life is at right now...the faded black screen. However, on a side note, i finished "Welcome to the NHK" and it was fantastic and i suggest it to anyone however i think the male population would enjoy it maybe a little more (not that its like that...get your mind out of the gutter). Check it out: http://animenfo.com/animetitle,3583,iefcng...ni_yokoso_.html The description of the show is a little weak on that site, but give it a shot. |

Its actually only 24 episodes (strange i know, but i dont think it was getting much of an audience) and i will totally suggest it once that topic comes up (even though i did say that it would be cool to watch older stuff). This is probably like my second favorite anime i have seen, so it should definitely should not be missed. |
