I know other people here must read webcomics. Practically everyone I know does. So... what do other people read? Which ones are your faves? Links!!! I got hooked into webcomics like 4 years ago and spent my senior year free periods in the library reading more and more. The ones I still read are: Megatokyo - A classic and the one that started it all for me. It's my homepage now and continues to amuse me. Bunny Comic - A one panel comic that is updated daily. A little random. Sometimes I don't get it. Sometimes it's the funniest thing ever. Worth a try. Questionable Content - Sound bad, but really about this indie guy and his girl issues. Lots of indie music refs and general hilarity. Very "day in the life" but without being boring... Sparkling Generation Vakyrie Yuuki - Guy secretly likes magical girl anime. Rents new series that ends up being a trap and is turned into the Valkyrie. Has to fight gods and deal with being a girl suddenly. Awesomeness ensues. (my icon is from it) Inverloch - a cute and well drawn fantasy comic that *will* have an actual ending. well worth the read. VG Cats - I'll admit I dont really read this often. But this: http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=188 is one of my favorite comic strips of all time. Genrezvous Point - an interesting take on movie genres and the current path of moviemaking. Anyway... thats a very short list and I know it doesn't include things like Penny Arcade and ctrl/alt/del, but I don't read those.... Anyway, thoughts? |

The ones I usually read are Questionable Content and 8-Bit Theatre. I've read a good bit of Penny Arcade, but I've only gotten through the first 200 or so. |

8-bit theater and Penny Arcade are the only two I've ever gotten into. I got around 300 comics through 8 bit, but they just keep coming too fast >_>. And Penny Arcade has the tabletop/video game contrasting bits that amuse me. |

sluggy freelance-randomness and puns somehow evolved into long involved plots with threads going back years, epic storylines, red haired gymnist assasin, overactive ferret, and homicidal rabbit what more could you want. Bob and George- the best sprite comic that was never intended to be a sprite comic Patchwork Champions- Started as patchwork heroes with a very cool fantasty storyline made with custom sprites, currently a very fun superhero sprite comic. Penny Arcade- fucking hilarious Pvp- you can like both really, Starslip crisis-Starfaring museum, pompous curator, drunken pirate pilot, bug like alien crewman. whats not to love. Rob and Elliot- neat art style really fun gags. Something positive- offensively hilarious, extremely well developed characters |

Uh oh guys...here it comes! Misfile - Really funny story about a guy that gets a gender change because of a misfile in heaven leveL - Futuristic story about a kid and some other kids above the surface when there's an underground world that's only whispered about. I can't do it justice but it's really good. Kagerou Very indepth story that's fantastical and psychological. WONDERFUL!! Comet7 Hilarious pixelart comic. I looooove this one. D:<! READ IT! Annnnnd...that's pretty much what i've tried to keep up with. I was really into Megatokyo but lost it during the summer due to work and such. I also read Questionable Content but since it was already linked i was going to link again! |

XKCD - I found this comic yesterday. It's stick-figure doodle type stuff.... but it's SO GEEKY. The guy who writes it was a NASA scientist so a lot of his comics are silly science jokes see: http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/snapple.jpg but it's really cute and funny. go check it out! |

* / me got to hang out with Fred Gallagher at Otakon last year. Tee hee. I missed this thread when it first came out, but since you asked -- bet you wish you hadn't -- here are ones I like: User Friendly I know, nobody else likes it, but I do. Spamusement "Poorly drawn cartoons inspired by actual spam subject lines!" Perry Bible Fellowship The name's misleading, it's actually quite good. They're the ones who invented "Skub". The Parking Lot is Full (though it's long dead) The Devil's Panties I went to high school with the author, but it's still pretty good. Dinosaur Comics Cowboy Comics Made entirely from covers of cheesy western novels. The Adventures of Angular Mike It's got the Beatles. And a Pac-Man ghost. And an invisible hentai girl. What's not to like? Chris and Trilby Incidentally, I got most of these from this page which claims to list "the only good comics on the internet", and also links to an informative rant about webcomic stereotypes in general. Although he detests Ctrl-Alt-Del. I was thinking about doing one myself, until I realized I can't draw, I don't have any spare time, and there's a ton of them out there already. |
