I don't know if this is doable on this site (limitations and whatnot) but I figured hell, why not?

Welcome to the first ever Hermetic Synod Oblivion Screenshot Thread!

Here you can post your wonderful Oblivion-related images for all here to see!

Here's a couple rules:

* Try to keep the image size to a minimum for the sake of people's monitors. Try not to post an image over 800 pixels in length. See below for tips on how to do that without devastating your shot's quality.

* I shouldn't have to say this, but no nudity is allowed. Not because I said so, but because last I checked, that's one of the rules of this here forum.

* Keep the shots per post to a minimum so as to avoid ridiculously long posts. Five or so sounds good enough.

* Don't go pirating other people's shots. Also, should go without saying.

* Posting without pics is fine and dandy. Questions regarding shots are allowed, congratulatory comments and constructive criticism is okay too.

* Any other rule regarding these forums of course apply here as well. Use you brain.

If any other rules should be added, feel free to contribute. I'm not a mod, just a member trying to keep this joint interesting.

Now let's see if my coding works here! XD

Yes! That was fun.

So that's the shot that a cropped the crap out of to make my avatar. It's normally 1920x1200 resolution, but here it's reduced to 640x400 with a link to the original. Here's how I did it.

When posting a resized image, ignore the Image button above. Instead, use the following code:

Code:

[url=IMAGELINK][img=WIDTH,HEIGHT]IMAGELINK[/img][/url]

So IMAGELINK is referring to your picture's url. Something like http://domain/image.jpg. Make sure it's the direct one and not just a link to the page it's on. (It'll end in its file's format, like .jpg, .png etc.)

WIDTH and HEIGHT is referring to the dimensions you want to drop it to. For the sake of not screwing it up, try to keep the dimensions mathematically the same as the original. In the case of the image above, it's divided by three. (1920/3=640, 1200/3=400)

All set? Good! Have fun, and happy posting! Let's see what you've got!
