I remember being excited out of my little 11 year old mind when Oblivion was announced in 2006, and now I don't even have it installed on my PC any more, and haven't touched the Xbox version for months. Anyone else a little more devoted to this game than I am? Any more mod projects that are ever going to see the light of day? |

In reference to the mod projects, probably not. I just switched to windows 7 after christmas, and I don't have it reinstalled yet, but up to that point it had remained installed. I also haven't really played it since I got Dragon Age, before that I played it at least 5 or 10 hours a month. |

I still play as often as I can, and I still mod when necessary. Just about every mod I download I edit in some way or another. I've also gotten my girlfriend into it after getting her a new computer. That being said, the Oblivion modding community is bigger and more active than ever. In fact, for the year+ I've been working for a video game store, Oblivion is still one of the hardest games to keep in stock. And that counts for every platform it's available for. Mod projects? They're everywhere. I've been keeping track of Chronicles of Enourk Episode Two for a couple years now, Elsweyr: Desert of Antiquity has grown into a humongously successful expansion, and huge mods like Better Cities and Midas Magic have both received heavy updates in the past few months. Just look around; there's great content everywhere. I'll post links and such once the Nexus' servers are back up and running. |

Oh, I was talking about those mods of mine. I'm pretty much done with modding. |

I know it'll be a few years yet, but I say that when TES V is released, the modders on this forum should do a mod project for it, maybe like a combination of all our own individual projects for Oblivion. |

Providing it's mod-enabled and not an MMO. But yeah, I'm up for it. Strictly recreational, I don't have time to seriously dedicate myself to such a project. My last idea was one of my favorite mod ideas of all time... did anybody here ever play the Myst games? Basically it was a point and click mystery game that took you through BEAUTIFUL alien worlds, where you had to figure out how their machines work and accomplish whatever task it required. No interaction with NPCs or anything. They were captivating games. I almost did a short TC in such a style, but I couldn't pull it off... lack of time. |
