Posted by APY at Planet Elder Scrolls QUOTE Dear site visitors, With great sadness I have to pass on an e-mail message that recently reached me: our most experienced and "old-time" staff member, Lord Devil, has recently passed away. She has been helping the site for a long time, from back when we were still Morrowind Summit, until and during the move, and when we relaunched as Planet Elder Scrolls. Her fair judgment has continually helped me personally to improve the site and to maintain a community. Moreover, our collaboration in Guild Wars and discussions on all kinds of topics were highly valued by me and others. Using her alter-ego, Quatloos, she started participating at Morrowind Summit even earlier, supplying mod authors with the same level of insightfulness and fair assessment that would later mark her activities as moderator. In addition to that, she also produced a number of well-received Morrowind mods: Mournhold, The Great Bazaar, Vivec Marksman's shop and Cragonmoor. I might not have said it often enough before, but right now I want to thank Lord Devil for all her hard work and all the help she offered in moderating this site. Finally, I want to wish the best of luck to Lord Devil's family & friends. She will be missed greatly by the Planet Elder Scrolls site staff, the members of Planet Elder Scrolls' forums and community, and myself. Please feel free to e-mail me or post in this item's comments thread, to express your feelings sad.gif (I'm sure you have other things on your mind right now, I surely do, but for any future complaints, suggestions or reports regarding site comments and moderation, please continue using the site comment form for now or e-mail Vypress). This is a really sad day.... Quatloos was THE FIRST person to comment on my mod, to critique it, help me fix it, and give me her considerations. She will be missed. Here is a link to the mod being made in her honor. Link |

Although that is true, it doesn't mean it doesn't matter when someone you know dies... <_< |

Ironed Maidens, Yes we all die. But there are people who care when someone close to them dies. What you said is a slap in the face to everyone who knew Lord Devil. If your mother died, would you care? Or your father? Brother? Sister? Wife? Best friend? I'll let you think about that. Anyway, this is a sad day indeed. I myself did not know Lord Devil personally. Though losing a great asset to the community is a huge loss. |

No, yeah, of course we all care. But, it's like...you don't REALLY know this person, so...like what, when you die you want everyone at the HS to say they'll miss you??? |

No disrespect intended, but if you don't know the person, nothing is needed to be said. Which kind of makes me a hypocrite, since i did post in this thread. |

Ditto what Bat said. Never knew her, but to lose an important community member is heard on everybody in the community. |

It is sad whenever someone in TES community dies. And Lord Devil was a very active person in that community. She will be missed and I hope that her family knows how important she was to so many people at PES and the general TES community. |

I didn't know of this occurence, but it deeply saddens me. Lord Devil gave the wandering modders a reason to look at their mods and improve them. |

Lord Devil will be remembered fondly everytime we play her mods; just as we fondly think of Grumpy when we play our modern Companion Mods that mostly all were based on Grumpy's generous Companion Template. How many of us can say we shall leave such marks of remembrance after we pass? |
