Weapon Pack for Morrowind: Eons ago, there once lived an amazing weapons smith, Vilvanil Thirandus. It is unknown whatever happened to Vilvanil. Some say he died. Others say he is alive. And yet others say he has left Morrowind to roam the world. Legends say that he could craft any weapon you could ever dream of. These weapons were the greatest ever made. But few could actually use them. No one knows why. According to legends, each weapon has a part of Vilvanil's soul in it. The legend says that the weapons would choose the wielders. But that's just a legend. It can't be true.... ....... but maybe it is true.... ..... there have been rumors of unstoppable warriors... ........ with weapons that can kill anyone in one strike... ..... these warriors are killing everyone... ........ they must be stopped... .....and your the only one with the power to stop them. This weapons pack will add 1-3 of each weapon type. Each weapon will have a long hard dungeon full of monsters. And at the end of each dungeon will be a warrior you must kill. He/She will have inhuman strength. And a extremely strong weapon. When you kill this person you get the weapon. Simple right? Not quite... Images: Spear pic 1 Feedback appreciated! Also, I am currently looking for some help with this. I need a scripter. And I also need someone who can write a puzzle-like (mind bending) quest. |

Are these weapons going to be better than Trueflame? They have to be better than Trueflame for me to use them, a lot better. Trueflame has a lot of sentimental value to it seeing as how it's the sword of Nerevar and all, and it's the very sword I slew Almalexia with. |

Also, when I said "Better than Trueflame," I was not only referring to the stats and enchantment, but also appearance. It has to look better than Trueflame. I would prefer it be one handed, so I can use Spellbreaker whenever I get it, but I'll deal with two handed. Oh, also, sword. |

You already told me you would texture septim... And ninja, there will multiple weapons. Of multiple different types. I'm sure one will fit your criteria. Also, I am taking weapon design suggestions from anyone. So if you find a picture of a really cool weapon. Post it and I will consider adding it. |

On the bus ride home from school, I came up with a great idea for this mod. I'm not sure what you have planned for it, but my idea is to have one large large dungeon with 69 levels (one for each weapon: war axe, battle axe, club, mace, war hammer, staff, bow, crossbow, sabre, broadsword, longsword, katana, claymore, dai-katana, dagger, shortsword, tanto, wakizashi, spear, halberd, throwing knife, throwing star, and dart -> 23 * 3 = 69 Unless you aren't doing all of those, or are simply having 3 one handed blades, 3 two handed blades, 3 one handed axes, etc.) On each level hide a miscellaneous item: Activation Stone, and have, in the very centre, a pillar: Teleportation Stone. When the player with the Activation Stone clicks on the Teleportation Stone, the former is removed from said player's inventory, and the latter is activated. Then, any time the player click the Teleportation Stone, the player can teleport to other activated Teleportation Stones on different levels. Now I was thinking, for the actual appearance of the two stones, The Activation Stone could be a disk roughly the size of a head with a stone texture, but, on the top surface, have an indent that is coloured to look sort of crystalized. Also, add a glow affect to the coloured area. For the Teleportation Stone, it will be a rectangular prism about the same height as the human races. The top will be slightly smaller than the bottom, so I guess it's more of a trapezoidal prism, actually...The top will have a simple stone texture, but three of the four long sides will have an indent just like the Activation Stone, except no glow. The fourth side will have that indent. but in the centre will be a raised circular shape. It will have an indent the same size as the Activation stone, but it won't be coloured or glowing. When the player activates the Teleportation Stone. The Activation Stone will be placed into the earlier said indent, and the four sides of the Teleportation Stone will now begin to glow. I was also thinking to have the stones on level one have a blue colour, and as the player descends, the stones slowly begin to change colour to green, yellow, orange, until finally, on level 69 (or whatever the bottom level is), red. Also, the weapons will be spread out so if there is, say, a shortsword o level one, there won't be another one on level two, as well. Finally, on the first level, there will be a merchant right next to the Teleportation Stone (set so that he/she won't attack the monsters and they won't attack him/her), because no one could possibly carry all that loot from 69 levels, and no one wants to constantly leave and re-enter. Now you may use my idea or not; I don't care. It's just something I tought of and thought I'd share. Also, I know you didn't ask for it or anything, but I drew up some images for a few weapons: a katana, an axe, and a halberd. I was bored in class and literally had nothing to do as I finished early. I'm not quite done yet, but when I am I'll post them...if you want. |

Well, this should be a great mod, though I don't play Morrowind any more, so I doubt I'd use it. i look forward to seeing what you come up with, Bat!
Ninja: 69 levels? do you have any idea how much work that'd be? there's a reason vanilla dungeons are only 2 or 3 levels big. Also, it would require a hell of a lot of scripting, and many new meshes... good idea that it is, it just wouldn't be practical in Morrowind, I'm afraid. |

If they're all in different cells, it's just a matter of time. Also, like I said, I don't know if bat's planning on all those weapons. I highly doubt the throwing weapons, since they would quickly run out, and I'm not so sure con some of the lesser used weapons like the sabre, tanto, club, etc. So, my guess is that the number will be much less. |

69 levels isn't impossible, just extremely difficult. For each of the Blood of Dawn levels, as I've said many times before, I want at least 7 levels. That's at least 105 levels from scratch. :| |

Jeez ninja... 69? I like the idea though. It would just require a s*** ton more time. No throwing weapons. It just doesn't make sense. You would run out. Then what? You just threw away a couple hundred thousand gold... Haha. Anyway. I'm not sure if I wanna just go for 3 one handed swords. 3 two handed swords etc... Or 3 of each type. Minus the unrealistic ones you listed. Perhaps a release of just the 3 of each weapon 'style' then as a new release later add more. How does that sound? And if you want to draw come concepts that would be wonderful too! |

Well, I've been unjustly punished from the computer tonight (My parents aren't home yet...), so I'll be drawing a lot. I've already (in school) finished the katana, one handed axe, the halberd, the spear, the mace, the two handed axe, the claymore, the dai-katana, the sabre, and the broadsword, and I've found a picture of a claymore I did awhile ago that I really like.
I'm sure you won't use it, though; it'll take at least several hundred thousand polys to make it well...

Seriously! I'm not an expert of modeling, thus, I can't guess by just looking at it very well, but I know it'll be a lot. I didn't get as much done as I had hoped; I fell asleep on the couch. (Damn couch! *shakes fist*) I think the couch is cursed. Whenever I sit on it I get tired... I managed to also do a longsword, staff, club, shortsword, tanto, dagger, and bow. I tried the crossbow, but I've never been good with those, so you're not getting one.
I didn't even try on the war hammer; you're lucky I was able to make a passable club and mace. I was about to start on the wakizashi when I fell asleep. On the first page, I gave some brief descriptions to help you, but thereafter the descriptions are even more brief; I hate writing. If you need help with something, just ask and I'll type it. Also, after I do one of each (minus the crossbow and warhammer, or otherwise after I do the wakizashi), I plan to do just a bunch of random stuff (axes and swords) with no descriptions because I want to.
These will be of lesser quality, and won't be inked. Also, the claymore I was telling you about isn't inked either, too much stuff I don't want to mess up. |

Here's the images. Of course, with my luck, the pen-drawn images are barely darker than the pencil-drawn images.
I did all that extra work for nothing.![]() The axe may be a little too complicated, and I'm sorry. I'm also sorry that my scanner sucks and it cut off a bit of the image. Not much, just some test. I'm also sorry that my handwriting sucks, so if you can't read something or just need further clarification, all you have to do is ask. Oh, also ignore that message on the top; it's a reminder for me. ![]() After writing all that on the first image, I kinda stopped...Personally, I think that dagger in the bottom right is the greatest weapon of mankind. ![]() That whole paragraph in the top right is very important, and you can't skip over it. ![]() Oh, I should tell you right now, I'm not good at scale...not good at all. None of the weapons I made are to scale with any of the other weapons I made. They should all be pretty much the same size as the weapons in-game, but I'll leave that up to you. Also, with the club, all the 'magic ball' does is give off light. You can give the weapon other enchantments if you like, but I'm just saying I didn't intend it to do anything else. ![]() The shortsword is a little confusing, even to me. Basically, Imagine it as a handle with a tube that has high powered plasma coursing through which is in lieu of a blade. Obviously, it's of Dwemer craft. ![]() THis image is the first of the "extra" images. The longsword isn't actually on fire, but the blade looks like a flame...you should give it a fire enchantment, but that's not my decision. It would be rather funny, though, to give it electrical or cold damage. ![]() I know I went a little over the top with the claymore...but I, personally, like it the best out of all the previous weapons. Most of these are rather bland and unoriginal..The shortsword is especially cliché as it's the head of a giant spear... ![]() This is the sword I was telling you about. I changed it to Dai-katana, as I think it looks more like that than a claymore. I'll let the picture speak for itself...mainly because it has text describing it... |

30 to be exact, and if you add in all the weight values for those weapons, they won't quite weigh one ton, probably not even 500 pounds...unless they're made out of whatever material daedric weapons are made of...then one weapon will weigh 500 pounds. Thanks for spamming my thread guys... <_< And ninja, that dagger has got to be the most amazing thing I have ever seen! However, the rest of the concepts are very nice. I didn't see one that I didn't like. The special dai-katana you made is quite nice. Though I doubt it would even hit 100,000 faces. Probably not even 20,000. Though I might just be optimistic. And about your symbol. Its fine. I wasn't even gonna put it on the model. Which brings me to an announcement:Do not put any symbols or icons or anything like that on concepts. I am preparing a contest for a symbol to represent Vilvanil Thirandus. So go ahead and get thinking everyone! Official announcement will be tomorrow! |

Official announcement: Symbol contest! From now until about 5:00 PM Pacific time February 1st will be a Symbol contest. This will be the Symbol for Vilvanil Thirandus. His personal insignia on each weapon. This Symbol must be easy to put on all types of weapons. So try to keep extra details (aka little things that stick out) to a minimum. You can enter multiple. Just don't go wild and Let's see what you guys can come up with! All entries are welcome. So please enter atleast one everyone! On a side note. I might need a texture artist as Septim could be gone for awhile. |

Jeese, I was just joking. If you want to get technical, though, I'll play it that way. By turning your symbol into a smiley, you released it to the public for general use, thereby, superseding the requirement of citation. I can then legally post said smiley without copyright infringement. |

Yes, you can use it because I have given you the rights to use it in posts by uploading it as a smiley. You cannot, however, say it is your own work or use it in such a manner as would imply that it is your work. That power remains with me. That being said, this discussion is ended. No more. Bat, I'm sorry. I started drawing symbols for the contest, and I got a really cool symbol I'm using in Blood of Dawn, as well as an entire alphabet for the mod. Sorry. That being said, as soon as I finish the OMR image and skin, I'll get to work on a symbol for you! |
