I didn't. The CS always crashed opened it. I would have if I could, though.

I would have, but I only had the X-Box version. Now that I have the PC version, I'm too busy with school work. <_<

Every mod I've done has been for Morrowind. The only ones for Oblivion are Paradox and OE. I think I've done 15 mods for Morrowind. Most have new meshes/textures.

Morrowind all the way. No collision boxes to worry about. AND, you can use .bmp format textures.

Much easier to save to .bmp because my .dds scripts for Gimp don't work. And the dds converter is just another step to the massive amount of steps for texturing.

Yes, I created vast Daedric fortress's and I re-textured lot of stuff.
I had lots of fun using meshes from a Half-Life mod called "Day of Defeat",
So in one of my bases I had howitzers, trucks, and tanks, it was really neat,
even if it didn't fit.
Oh, and I had over 75 mods loaded.

I started modding for Morrowind, but Oblivion came out before I ever got much done. I only got Morrowind a month or so before I got Oblivion, (found it for £3 in Choices), and after that I just switched to Oblivion. I made a huge city, with about 20 buildings to learn how to use the CS, but I never finished it. It was actually pretty good for my first mod, if I do say so myself.

Modding for Morrowinds easy. It's basically Oblivion only less complicated.

I thought Oblivion was easier for those who started modding in morrowind.

I think the morrowind cs is a bit harder, since it doesent have all the fancy new features. Any way, I was working on my own little city in MW for a while, but I never finished it. It was a canton type place between Solsthiem and Vvardenfell, except it had a Dwermer interior, and on top I built a Numidium, just for fun.

I have done alot of modding for Morrowind. I love it. I have never made any of the mods public however. Mainly for my hubby and I but I have emailed select mods to friends on the internet who wanted custom made mods for themselves.

I think its easier, because you don't have to do so much to make a good mod- no fancy AI schedules etc. I can't do AI at all in Oblivion, but it's easy in Morrowind.

And the Morrowind CS actually works properly (almost) all the time, which is more than can be said for the Oblivion one...

I did a little modding for Morrowind. Mostly just stuff for myself.

Because of my meagar knowledge, switching to the Oblivion CS was easy, because not much had changed for me. But I liked the MW one better. Loaded a lot faster. Didn't crash and burn every time I closed it.

I don't really think that the Oblivion TESCS is easier, but I am so familiar with the Morrowind one and Obliv is really new ground for me.

I did have it loaded, along with its expanded Data Files .. but after a reformat decided to reinstall Oblivion but do without the TESCS, so no need for the Date Files which were taking up so much room on my hard drive. If I had a seperate drive or my CD writer worked to make a seperate disk - then I would like to have the Obliv data files.

But the construction set seemed harder to me, the way things were in trees instead of just Tab/lists. The way you had to uniquely name anything you wanted and REplace it into the Render Cell seemed tedious although I know that was done to keep people from corrupting all the models of that particular object throughout the world. I guess too many would-be modders forgot to reID objects in Morrowind and thus were changing all the instances ingame.

So anyway, I find Oblivion itself to be very vanilla after the magicka and lore of Morrowind. I do fervently hope that Bethesda will give us some expansions that might include some neighboring provinces of Cyrodill, like Valenwood, Elsewyre, Black Marsh, etc.

The place I would really most like to see of Tamriel either by Bethesda or a good player modding team ... is Sommerset Isles.

Bethesda said that they will not be releasing anymore expansions for Oblivion.

well that's a bummer. They are passing up a good way to link up the other provinces, since Cyrodill is central to all of them.

A new province would have to be a new game. The provinces are too big for an expansion.

It only takes 2 mins to re-texture every daedric item =]

the only part that takes time with me is the path setting on the meshes ^_^
