Then vote for it. Even though we know that's not how things happen around here. |

It just doesn't make sense. If you're going to make it more lines to cast then you also have to make it more lines to defend. Using the Force is meant to be a bonus, not a negative, hence it should have advantages over melee. |

Rules: All force moves are 2 lines. (Pretty sure, haven't looked at them lately) Force Choke and Force Lightening are killing powers. Meaning they need 5 lines. On the otherhand, why would force wave need to be anymore lines than 2? -force waves the person down- -sends the person to the ground- What more is needed to that? Edited: What is your reason for making this a topic? Seriously, I feel like you all make up these pointless topics because you've been killed this way. Just because you die by the rules we have, is no reason to change them to your liking. So back to the first question, Reason for the change in the rules? (plz give me a good one) |

Wow, To be honest I haven't been killed with the force of late. xD I died from Prideous' dual wield saber guide >_> In which after he goes: -guides saber and dagger to you- I went -grips this down- -tears this out- And I had to go -grips them down- -tears them out- xD But yeah anyway, if you make force powers more lines to do it would decrease the whole -force stun- -lock in place- -force wave- -force pull- -force grip- >_>; If you haven't noticed people just spam in duels now, and it's becoming a problem to be honest |

Your feelings betray you. xD No I haven't been killed by force powers. I am not trying to change the rules either. If you would've read the topic right you'd know I am trying to get this to be taught to students to make their typing faster. Not to get any sort of advantages. On the contrary, if it served as a disadvantage it would be to both sides. It's better than leaving them hopeless and defenseless in face of real threats. Besides, think about Consulars. They focus on mastering the force and less saber figthing. So that would be a disadvantage to enemies with the rules implied today; which is using quick 2-3 line force moves. So back to YOUR question, here's my answer. I am NOT trying to change the rules. |

The annoying one. Yes, I'm annoying on purpose.

This is good and bad. Good: Stops abuse of the Force. Make things much more realistic. Stops Force spam. Bad: Makes defending it too easy. The only way to counteract the defending easy part, is to make defending a bit harder as well. Example: *flicks my hand up* *send a Force push to you* *the Force hits your body* *it sends you back* And now defending it: *flicks my hand up* -do something to stop them before they cast the push- *send a Force push to you* -You could try dodging the push, quickly stopping their concentration, or preparing to resist- *the Force hits your body* -Resist the Force- -stumbles back a bit, depending on how strong your character is- *it sends you back* -I just got owned by a Force push- Mm. |

Some people are in favor of this and some aren't so I might just stop while im add it. Although it would be crucial to extend the defend. Something like this *flicks my hand at you* -engages a force bubble- *a force wave hits you* -bubble surrounds me- *the force wave carries you* *you hit the wall hard* Except that you dont hit the wall hard. Or *flicks my hand at you* -extends both arms- *a force wave hits you* -grasps the force wave- -dissipates the force wave- Which only stronger and faster users could do. Another thing I have seen is that superior masters often void strong attacks lead by under-ranks. The truth is, in the SW universe that is possible. And so if we teach them how to actually carry out an attack correctly it could be possible in RP. I mean look at it this way. We are teaching them to type fast, it's the equivalent of teaching them how to use the force if there was such thing in life. The faster and grammatically correct they type then the better and stronger their force attacks are. but defending would be like. *force grips your neck* -focuses force on my neck- *starts tightening grip* -starts to relieve grip- -the grip gets weak- -dissipates the grip- The other dude would have to tighten every 1 line if he would want to carry out the grip. And then you guys would say "AMG THE DUEL WOULD LAST SO LONG!" Well that's the point. I mean in the movies you don't see a sith choking someone and once they get repelled they go at it again and again ang again. Or anything else for that matter. In RP it all comes down to typing. Sithlord/Jedi master or padawan/acolyte they can beat down a higher rank if they type fast enough. This how I see it. However I might be a miralukan.... xD |

If you aren't trying to change the rules, then why is there a poll? I'm not trying to be mean, but I don't see why the change is needed. If you're truely a fast typer than you can do this: -force waves your body back- *dissipates the force* -sends your body to the ground- You don't need the extra line so you can get the dissipates it in there. Example of your way: -force waves your body back- -the force hits your chest now- *dissipates it here* -sends your body to the ground- |

The poll is there to see if you want it to be in effect or not. It all comes down to the Forum and RPG masters to decide so yeah. If you're truly a fast typer you can type as much as it takes to defeat someone. The REASON (here we go again) that i want to work with this is to make people fast typers. |

Typing faster has to do with how you practice. I don't think the rules effect your typing what-so-ever. Or it hasn't effected me yet. |

Wow... Did you even read the topic?
You people (and yes it's racial remark) call slow typers noobs. So if that's the problem then I guess the solution is forcing them to type faster. They have to accommodate to the RP needs not the other way around. You probably are thinking "Well why are trying to change the RP". And I shall once again I'm not trying to change it. I'm trying to get a new kind of practice in. If you don't want to use it because you're too noobish to type 3-5, then that's your choice. As for me, I can't type what I suggest but hopefully I'll get better practicing. Is the poll bothering you? You want me to take it off? If I find out how I will. What ticks you off about this? It's a simple suggestion. |
