Yes, you can own Houses, and you can buy town halls which slowly develop into towns, if you buy building or other people do around your town hall.

Mike isnt behind it all. He's just getting a copy of what the SWGemu developers have been worknig on for the past three years.
Yes, you can have your own houses.
Large, Medium, and Small versions of the following; Naboo Houses. Corellia Houses. Generic Houses. Tatooine Houses.
You can own your own city, but it must consist of a large amount of people who place their house on your site, and declare themselves as a resident. You also need a guild hall, a shuttleport, and other additions such as cantina, etc.
You can only build cities on: Talus, Corellia, Tatooine, Naboo, Rori, Lok. Same goes for houses.
I wouldnt advise to build a city, they cost alot of money. Good chance no one will actually build a house there either.
Guild halls allow you to make your own clan/cult in which you can add members. Note: Jedi Orders, etc can't be made from these.
Jedi - Light side enclave already built on Yavin. Dark Jedi - dark side enclave already built on yavin.
However, you can use these guildhalls to re-create cults such as:
Krath. Disciples of Ragnos. Neutralist. Bounty Hunter Guilds.
etc, etc.
The words Jedi, and Sith, are filtered upon naming your guild.
The most successful guild was: "Knights of the Old Republic" which was a group of old Jedi from the Pre-CU era who had been SWG'ing for years.

Of course. You can build entire cities if you wish, have your own shops, houses, even spaceports and cantinas. The mayor can also tax people to use the public structures to give the city an income on top of housing tax. You can build lovely gardens, put down streetlamps and seating and whatnot. You can even add a particular guild as the town's militia, allowing for player guards. You can assign it as a rebel or imperial town allowing for sieges and whatnot.
I'm not behind it all - Its a team thats developing it but once they're done I'll be heavily tweaking it and running my own server, something that only a few people are doing at the moment.

You know most of it, but you didn't read it? How does that work. If you didn't know what was in the post, how could you know if you already knew it?

Not sure what you mean. There's not much I don't know about SWG. I've played it before, been level 70 Jedi.
There's some aspects that I don't know of. But they're the ones which don't interest me lol.

You Do Realize that this isnt SWG? Its SWG Emu.. Its a Group of developers own version of SWG So there are bound to be meny differnces between SWG & EMU. Eg: There is only one Planet in SWG Emu (Tatooine)
They Have Stated Player Houses will be enabled but nothing has been said about Player Owned Citys.

There's only Tatooine because thats the starting planet for the time being. Earlier it was Naboo, every planet is implemented but for testing reasons its pointless filling it all up just yet.
Cities are also going to be in there - Its going to be identical to the old SWG, thats what they're developing and thats why its taking so long. The whole reason for the project is to build something that is, in playing terms, identical to the old SWG.

I say we have a city for each of the alignments. So we know whos who. Like City name: Imperial Capital. Location: (XX,YY)
City name: Rebel Command Base. Location: (XX,YY)
:D. Just an idea.
