The annoying one. Yes, I'm annoying on purpose.

I'm not complaining or anything - I accepted the death - but lots of people keep telling me I'm not dead because it was apparently Godmode, which I'm not too sure about.

This is the duel between me and Elliot:

- is him. * is me.

-slices into the head-
-rips into the skin-
*force pushes you*
-rips into the bone-
*you come off me*
-some lava drips into the head-
-burns into the bone-
-burns into the brain-
*absorbs it* (Late, I know)
-dead-

Except many people keep telling me the lava was godmod because it couldn't be defended. I, on the other hand, think you can use Absorb Energy to stop the effects, but then another person said it's not energy and that it's matter.

So... just wondering whether I'm dead or not and if so, how to defend against the lava.

I see no way to stop the lava.. Honestly, You can't touch it, you can't blow it off.. you can't do anything with your hands. The lava would just keep burning and burning..

The 'killing combo' was only three lines long.

Lava... how the heck did lava appear? I'm thinking this is the doing of Elliot... (applause)
I mean he was talking about the Lava crystal so he might have gotten you a little unaware there... Tricky sith...
The lava couldn't be godmode if Elliot is of rank to use the crystal.
If he isn't of rank to wield it, then it would be void, you'd be alive, and I'd be happy if there was a punishment :D :P  :P  :D :P :hardyharhar:

Lava drips from the lava saber when it is ignited. However if we were going to be technical gravity could take contorl of the lava slide it down the saber into his hand burning it straight off.

But as for the duel, there is now way to defend against the lava. It would take about five lines to defend it. which is completely unfair. And you can't absorbs matter, you can only absorb energy. The only enery of the lava is the heat. And the hot coals would still burn you severely making the wound worse. And you would die from an infection.

Yes, lava sparks off from the saber it's fitted in from time to time. And yes to the gravity effects so if we carry the 9 and divide by 5, we supplement for a deductable over interest of a year or two... OhMY GOD! YOU'RE ALIVE!

Anakin Skywalker couldn't defend against lava, neither can we. I think he's getting the idea of this crystal from Star Wars Galaxies that does HEAT damage. There are sources of it on Wookieepedia, but i'm guessing that is the fault of SWG.

"The Lava Crystal was a lightsaber crystal that could only be found on volcanic planets and moons such as Mustafar. It generated a blade that resembled lava. The crystal itself was less focused and concentrated than normal crystals, therefore lava itself was generated from the extreme heat of the blade and sometimes splashed and dripped out from the blade itself (as shown in the game). This rare crystal was rumored to be very powerful. "

To be honest what he did was 'legitimate', as a Force Barrier would have defended you from it, however it is a bit god mod I guess. None the less his combo was not legitimate because the lava dripping on would start a new combo, and thus must meet the required rules for a killing combo. As it did not, you are not dead.

Also, if you had Force Pushed him away then how would the lava fall onto you?

God mode?

1. You can have the smarts to dodge the Lightsaber before it hits you.
Therefore, its' defendable in that sense.
2. There are Force Techniques which can extinguish it. Have the smarts to research them.

Not at all, the saberblade would have to enter the head for the Lava to get there. Thus it's part of the combo. The Lava is part of the saber, as it spawns from it.

Read the Topic I posted on the Lava Crystal. Print it out, eat the paper, shit it out, and eat it again. Are all your posts pathetic?

You are correct. The Lava does have more chance of killing me, than it does my opponent. But it's their job to RP the damage. ;)

Also, to wield such a weapon, you'd have to train to be able to wield it. You'd require some sort of skills to adapt to it.

"There is no way to defend against the Lava"

This is very bigheaded of you. Just because you think you don't know the way to defend it, that it's utterly impossible?
thats like someone saying
"WELL I DUNNO HOW TO DEFEND IT, THEREFORE IT MUST BE GOD MODE."
What're you fucking retarded? Research your Force Techniques.

What would you know, honestly?

Anakin wasn't a consular, or a force expert. He wouldnt of known the Techniques to defend against it. Besides, it's a LARGE amount of Lava in his case. In mine, it is ISNT.

Secondly, why would he of? It would of ruined the story. This is RP, so it's utterly different because we're gaming, not storytelling or movie making.

Thanks for the valid proof.

It was legit.
He could of dodged, or Barrier'd. Therefore you've already prooved my point that it's defendable. It's not like -2 LINES- - YOU DED-
It's not impossible, therefore it's not god mode.

As for your shit about "the combo" then read above.

He pushed away late. Besides, whatevers said now doesnt matter, he admitted death at the time, so he's dead. He agree'd to it.

Okeydokes =] Just putting in my input. I don't know the combat rules here so I wont comment further on the combo, but it does sound awfully dodgey to me.

PJ, easy way, use Fprce Protect (I used it on Vjun in Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, to resist the acid rain, it should help agaist the Lava.)

I said there were ways to defend it but once the lava hits you these techniques would take atleast a couple lines, by which time the lava would have bunred through already.

What's so hard about,

-uses force protect-
-the lava stops-

? Even pj could do that.

Hell, do it before you fight? I mean, if you see a blade that looks like lava, wouldn't it be smart to use some sort of defensive prodecudres? (sorry for the bad spelling, just woke up.)
