The next person to bring up a "SHALL WE HAVE A SENATE??" poll on this forum in the next month is going to get a permanent ban, its getting absolutely ridiculous. It comes up every other goddamn day.

Stop trying to stir the shit. If you don't like SWRP not having a senate, go make SWRP II. Theres one every five minutes, its completely unneeded (the polls and the senate) and quite frankly polling it 13 times in a month until you get the result you want just serves to piss people off.

So. Senate poll = Ban. Period.

I think people feel that Role Play is being dicided by these "Admins" and a few higher ranking Role players and people are just feeling like there not getting much of a say in what rules are being made and what dissisions are being maken.

So maybe some sort of other way that players could have more of say on what issues effect Role play?

;:

Also that last Topic really made me lol...
I checked the topic and it was about

7 yes
4 No

Then the Admins joined the topic and straight away it went from 4 all the way up to 16, and then they closed the topic .. and called it a fail? Rofl. :P

I knew someone would say that.

There isn't a few higher up people or administrators deciding anything. If an admin started throwing their weight around, they'd have to answer to me, as some have done in the past. SWRP is completely democratic, everyone has a say.

The issue here is that the senate thing has been voted on a stupid amount of times now in a stupidly small time window. There are a certain group of people who want this senate so bad, they're putting up senate votes repeatedly until they get a SINGLE poll that has a higher amount of votes for a senate, then they'll use that to cause absolute chaos.

The admins can't repeatedly vote or tweak voting either. That isn't an issue. I'm simply trying to say that the senate thing isn't so much a nice vote about what people want any more, its a constant moaning and whining by a select few people in the form of polls until they have a poll that says a senate is wanted (completely ignoring the 12310515 others that were voted on in the same week), so they can hold it high and start fucking everything up.

If you do not trust the admins of the forum, then there is something wrong anyway.

By the way, admins can't change how many votes there are. They can't vote constantly. We have the same voting priviledges as a member. HOWEVER, in Invision PowerBoards, IPBs also more widely known as, mods CAN change the votes.

However we are on an IF board and therefore we cannot.

If you think that I wait until a topic is at no before I close it, that is not the case. I always wait until 20 votes.

I have been on the receiving end of that once, I think.

However we are on an IF board and therefore we cannot.

There are well known problems with IF Board Poll System.. It allows Users to multi vote.. I have tryed plenty of times on my boards to fix the problem, But its to do with the way they have programmed the boards so im pretty sure it cant be fixed.

Final, it's not that people don't think they don't have a say because ANYONE (except banned kids) have a say on these forums. ANYONE can reply to ANY topic. The fact they keep trying to revote on the senate idea isn't because they feel they get no say, it's because they are hoping one time they'll get lucky and maybe win by a vote and then just rip apart the forums and make the senate.

I've never seen that problem, but whatever.

The Admins are extremely fair and do not abuse their powers. Since Reid, Mike, Pyro and Sara were given power (No offense Relyx but your kinda new xD), the boards have been running smoothly and efficiently, no-one has the right to say they are doing a bad job. On top of this, Mike has a divine say on all of this because without him the Rpg wouldn't exist. Reid has created an excellent Forum with great features. Pyro has an aura that keeps everyone in line. Sara is like a demon. Get on the wrong side of her, i.e. say something that is clearly out of line, and you will get torn to shreds. The Admins have qualities which complement one another and lead to a superbly run Forum which we can all be proud of. Everyone has a fair say and has equal weight. Any accusations of Poll fixing should be met with burning at the stake (POWER OF OPPRESION! xD). Praise the Admins!

Lol... Alright one of the most basic ways to do a multi vote on a IF Board is simply tick every box that is shown and then click "Vote"

Its a stupid way to vote since your not actully helping a arguement but your voting on every side since each box will get a +1 to it.

ive noticed it also depends on how the CSS/Board has been set up.

There is no way to multi-vote 1 option. You can vote in all the options but you can't vote more than once, save by having Alts, which, may I add, Reid has successfully halted.

Final, that is neither a bug or a glitch. It's an OPTION. The maker of the poll can select how many options you are allowed to vote for. It's in the Poll Setting area, when you click "new poll." You can choose how many of the options the voter can choose, by Selecting either Single Choice(1) or Multi Choice(2-15).

Stop making yourself look like a dumbass, and have facts to back up what you say.

Lol. And even if you vote more than the user has picked, it will say -
"You have voted for more... etc... please vote again.."

There is no way to vote multiple times and the CSS and board wrappers have nothing to do with it. Unless you are saying that we are somehow accessing the file index.php and changing the php code.. ?

The only way to vote more than one time is to have either multiple accounts or change your IP address - I think.

So, please. You're making yourself look like a fool here.
