I've heard that some people want the same "microphone program" as I do, so I've made this... rather complicated guide so that you can get it as well. Oh, by the way, this is not how I got mine. I just bought it. Anyway, here is the tutorial (kind of long): Requirements: - A good or at least decent microphone. - At least 3Gb of hard disk space (the program is only 1.4 or something, but after you make your profile and everything you're going to need more space to save the information). - Windows XP/Vista. Step One: Download uTorrent. Step Two: Download Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9.51 (I have 7 so yours may be a bit different) from either Here or Here. Step Three: Using uTorrent, do the following things: Right click the program and set allocation to "High". ![]() Right click again and make your upload limit 1kb. ![]() Step Four: Depending on your Internet speed, the download could take a couple minutes to a couple hours. I am GUESSING it would take 2-12 hours for most of you. So you might want to leave your computer on overnight. Wait for the download to finish. Step Five: After download is complete, this is where it gets a bit tricky... I've copied and pasted this from the web site: By default setting in this copy you can pick the language the software uses to display options while installing - this can be ENGLISH or FRENCH (though, if you pick English, 1 or 2 very simple dialogues regarding activation will appear in French anyhow) After installation, when you first launch the software, the DEFAULT menu interface is set for ENGLISH - you are asked to choose a username, microphone type and user language -- choose your user language, the interface and all menus will appear in English. If you want the program interface to appear in French - - close the software and go to: - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Nuance\NaturallySpeaking\9nssystem.ini - at [Settings] change the "2" in 'Default Language and Dialect=2,1' to: "1" for english; "2" for french; "4" for german; "7" for dutch. - so, for the french default interface you'd have: Default Language and Dialect=2,1 - so, for the english default interface you'd have: Default Language and Dialect=1,1 - save and restart the software When the Program asks if you want to ... - Enregistrer En Linge - Imprimer - Rappelez-moi en 7 Jour ... pick the '7 Jour' option ------ When the Program asks if you want to ... - Check Internet for Program Updates ... make sure to UNCHECK this option ------ Set your firewall to PERMANENTLY BLOCK "Agent.exe" from internet access. This seems to be an automatic update and validation checker which can probably disable blacklisted keys, and attempts to do so everytime DNSP is started. Alternatively, you can probably locate and eliminate this executable without any ill-effects. ------ When asked to Activate Now --> Manually --> Autre Numero de Serie --> then copy and paste the required 2nd serial from original Readme-1st.txt file. Don't worry about the 3 rows of blanks spaces below, just hit OK. (I'm guessing the readme is located somewhere in your folder. Just look for it) ------ After setup is complete, right-click on installed drive and under 'Properties' choose 'Disk Cleanup' to remove temporary files. (I'm not quite sure if you have to do this or not...) You will probably want to have 1 GB free on installation drive to properly test this package. ------------ Note: I was reading through some of the comments and some people said it comes up in French. So, you might get that problem. I doubt it, though. Just make sure you do everything it says here. Also, there was something about having to burn this using ISO onto a DVD or something. I had no idea what that was about, so I just left it out. Read this And scroll down to when one of the guys explain to you how to download it and everything. He says something about burning onto the DVD. I have no clue what that is... |

There the majourly Popular Microphone Devices and the most recommended by most PC Guides. Ventrillo. Or TeamSpeak. I use Teamspeak since its alot simpler to set up and use than Ventrillo. Also there pretty fun for doing Pranks on. Ventrillo ------ Harrasment. Alot of PC Based online gamers use them since.. They cause less lag than the In-Game voice options. So you may want to try them for over games you play.. Since most Games have there own TeamSpeak Server. |

Naturally speaking isn't a voice chat program - Its a "talk to type" program, totally different. |
