The staff is going to make a serious effort to update the infobox more often, so keep an eye out. Newer updates will always be closer to the top, but probably below this one.

New Stuff Around the Site
Aaaaand it's time for our revival, for the billionth time. Oh, how we are a stubborn board that refuses to die. The Cbox is looking prettier than ever with rules next to them now, and there will be more new stuff to come. Also, because of this, the Cbox rules will no longer be part of the General rules.

Canon Characters
There are plenty of canon characters still up for grabs, so head on over to the character list to see which ones are available. If you find a character that you're interested in playing, leave a post in the Character Request thread to get started. We're looking for new members, and everyone here is super friendly, so take a look around (guests can view almost all the forums here) and leave a comment in the Guestbook if you have any questions or want to introduce yourself.

Welcome to Speed demon's X-men Evo RPG.

This is a written RPG based off of X-men: Evolution. We're always looking for new characters, so check out the character list (under the Characters section) or PM the admin if you have questions. If you are interested in playing OC characters, please visit SD's OC X-men Board (accessed through the button in the top left corner of the site).

You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. This means you are limited to certain areas of the board and there are some features you can't use. If you'd like to join the RPG, you will be able to roleplay as you own characters.

Real Name: Emma McCarren
Codename: Void
Gender: Female
Age: 20

Team: First come first serve/ Up for grabs

Power: Emma’s power allows her to completely detach herself from the world around her. While in this state of mind, she can sense all forms of existence in the nearby vicinity-essentially losing her humanity and seeing the world from completely neutral eyes. In this form Emma is incapable of expressing emotion and can only see emotions in others based on the chemical reactions occurring in their bodies. She can sense all matter down to the bonds linking the atoms and can detect all forms of energy in the surrounding area. Before entering her omniscient state, she can see parts of both worlds for a few hours, essentially being able to consciously process and understand what she is feeling.

Weakness: Emma has no control over her powers, and for large portions of her life she is trapped in her “emotionless” state of cold observation.

Personality: Her personality hasn’t had much time to develop based on her condition. However, when she is able to temporarily break free of her altered state of mind she is quiet and reserved, and finds trusting other people difficult.
Interests: none
-Likes: Patterns, Symmetry
-Dislikes: Empty spaces

Appearance: Emma is relatively average- looking. She has a strong, almost handsome face and a rich voice.
-Hometown: Chicago
-Hair: Blond
-Eyes: Blue
-Body: Very slim- she often forgets to eat or sleep, giving her a sickly appearance.
-Height: 5’4
-Weight: 100 lbs
-Clothing: She wears simple, comfortable clothing- preferably black. When her clothing reflects to much light she finds it harder to concentrate

History: Born to a rich family, her dad made a killing in the stock market during the early 90’s (Investing into the beginning of what was to become the dot.com era). She was cared and pampered for- as any only child would- and Emma grew up surrounded by money and everything it could buy. Her mother- a retired secretary- would read her a story every night. Her father, strong and successful, would play with her regularly in the yards of one of their many estates. She attended the Keller Regional Institute for Gifted Children. Life seemed perfect; and in essence it was.
However, this was all to change. The perfect life Emma was supposed to have lived was stolen away from her the day of what was later to be known as her first “episode”. It was her 13th birthday, and the guests were just arriving. The cake was laid out and Emma was in her room dressing and applying her make-up when suddenly her world shattered. All she saw were numbers and intensities and movements. Confusion reigned supreme and the universe was cold and unforgiving. Life was no different from a rock, love no different from a chemical reaction, everything was equal- and she was observing everything in its true form- as the universe saw it. When she awoke, she was lying in a patch of grass in the park near her house. She had been missing for several hours- and when the police found her she was shivering and confused, with no memory of what had happened. Her parents insisted that she visit a psychiatrist- but he could find no defect, no fault in the “wiring of her brain” as he called it. However, with each passing day her episodes became more severe and more frequent, until she would stay enchained in their grasp for hours on end, emotionless and observing. Her parents sent her to all the specialists they could- hoping that something could be done. But no medicine, no drug prevented the universe from entering Emma’s mind.
Finally, at the age of fourteen, Emma’s parents made the frightful choice of entrusting their daughter to the care of Dr. Vince Wong- a professional who specialized in rare mental diseases. She was placed in a small ward where her actions and thoughts were continuously monitored and recorded. Her condition saw no improvement- in fact, it became worse, and she would languish in her dream-like state for numerous weeks before waking up.
At the age of twenty she escaped the ward- unable to fathom living in such a place for the rest of her life. She wandered the streets aimlessly, walked for hours on end. Occasionally a friendly stranger would drive her to the closest town. She would regularly slip in and out of consciousness. Her frame shrunk, she became sickly and pale until she was virtually unrecognizable from her former self. Her life was in chaos, her thoughts jumbled. She roamed the world lost and confused. SHIELD had already discovered her existence, and was actively searching for her in hopes of making her one of their prime weapons. With no hope and no future, Emma was a ghost of the universe- observing the world in its true form and a victim of its harsh realities.
