Check out the Infobox Every Once in a While
The staff is going to make a serious effort to update the infobox more often, so keep an eye out. Newer updates will always be closer to the top, but probably below this one.

New Stuff Around the Site
Aaaaand it's time for our revival, for the billionth time. Oh, how we are a stubborn board that refuses to die. The Cbox is looking prettier than ever with rules next to them now, and there will be more new stuff to come. Also, because of this, the Cbox rules will no longer be part of the General rules.

Canon Characters
There are plenty of canon characters still up for grabs, so head on over to the character list to see which ones are available. If you find a character that you're interested in playing, leave a post in the Character Request thread to get started. We're looking for new members, and everyone here is super friendly, so take a look around (guests can view almost all the forums here) and leave a comment in the Guestbook if you have any questions or want to introduce yourself.

Welcome to Speed demon's X-men Evo RPG.

This is a written RPG based off of X-men: Evolution. We're always looking for new characters, so check out the character list (under the Characters section) or PM the admin if you have questions. If you are interested in playing OC characters, please visit SD's OC X-men Board (accessed through the button in the top left corner of the site).

You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. This means you are limited to certain areas of the board and there are some features you can't use. If you'd like to join the RPG, you will be able to roleplay as you own characters.

Real Name: Matt Rift
Codename: Prism
Gender: Male
Age: 17

Team: X-men

Power: The ability to bend light. Using his powers, Prism can bend light around objects or bounce light off of invisible barriers- creating mass illusions.

Weakness: Matt’s powers are rendered useless in dark areas, as there is no light for him to manipulate. He generally feels uncomfortable and powerless in the dark, and his phobia has developed to such a degree that he begins to have panic attacks in dark areas.

Personality: Matt is generally outgoing and carefree. He often knows how to tell a good joke and is never short of pranks to pull on his friends. However, Matt often feels a constant need to impress others and can sometimes take things too far for the sake of a “good joke”. When angered or insulted, he reveals his bottled-up nasty side and is surprisingly ruthless in his retaliations. (Yes, he’s a bit of a douche.)

Interests: Pranking, Hanging with friends, Girls, Games, Movies
-Likes: Sunny days, the beach, the mall
-Dislikes: The dark, the socially incompetent

Appearance: Matt’s dresses in whatever is most comfortable, not caring much for fashion. He has brown, curly hair and wears a baseball cap wherever he goes. He speaks with a New York accent.
-Hometown: New York
-Hair: Brown
-Eyes: Blue
-Body: Medium Build
-Height: 5’9
-Weight: 140 lbs

History: Matt grew up in the suburbs of New York. The first born of three children, he was considered the favorite child and was constantly doted upon by his parents- even after his siblings were born. At school, he was adept at making friends and gaining peoples’ trust, and developed an early interest in pranking. Needless to say, he also made a few enemies and spent much of his childhood getting into fights. When he reached puberty, Matt began to experience what he thought were hallucinations: moving furniture, floating objects and changing colors. That is, until his mom one day looked into the mirror only to find that her head was invisible. It only took a few more demonstrations to reveal that Matt was, indeed, a mutant. It was a very hush-hush situation. His parents were worried that he would be teased at school, and made Matt promise them that he would not reveal his powers to anyone, under any circumstances. He agreed grudgingly, and for several years no one knew of his secret except for himself and his immediate family.
However, his powers would not remain secret for long. One day, after a particularly nasty fight at school, Matt broke his promise. Caught in the heat of the moment, he created an extremely powerful and intricate illusion: namely, of his enemy’s head exploding, (Which he cannot recreate to this day), and was quickly and quietly removed from the New York school system.
After overcoming their initial anger, Matt’s parents were at a loss for where they were to send him for school. Their answer came in the form of the Xavier Institute: an organization dedicated to housing and educating “gifted” youngsters. Without further ado, Matt was quickly shipped off to Bayville, where his parents hoped he would learn to control his powers, and most of all, be accepted. With a new city to explore and new people to meet, Matt is ready for the first time in his life to meet people just like him: mutants

Just a question: "Which he cannot not recreate to this day"? Double negative... I'm confused lol.
