![]() Real Name: Marshall Williams Codename: Mars Gender: Male Age: 19 Affiliation: The X-men Power: Marshall is a Native Strontian therefore he possesses all of the powers of a Strontian that hasn’t gone through the gladiator process which is what Kallark went through before he became Praetor of the Shi’ar Empire. The powers are as followed; Superhuman Speed: Marshall is capable of moving at seven hundred and seventy miles per hour, the speed of sound. Superhuman Strength: Marshall is capable of lifting/ pressing fifty tons. Superhuman Stamina: Marshall possesses extraordinary physical stamina. His muscles generate considerably less fatigue toxins than the musculature of human beings. Superhuman Agility: Marshall's natural balance, agility, and body coordination are enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of even the finest human athlete. Superhuman Reflexes: Marshall's reflexes are similarly heightened and are superior to those of the finest human athlete. Superhuman Durability: Marshall's body possesses a high degree of resistance to physical injury as well as a bio-aura. He can withstand high caliber bullets, powerful concussive blasts, falls from tremendous heights without sustaining injury. Marshall can withstand high temperatures and can survive in the vacuum of space indefinitely. Flight: Marshall is able to generate gravitons that enable him to fly. Hyper vision: Marshall can see multiple wavelengths of the electromagnetic spectrum and with focus can see on a microscopic and telescopic level. Heat Beams: Marshall is capable of firing highly concentrated beams of energy from his eyes. These beams are capable of reaching extremely high temperatures. Freezing Breath: Marshall is able to breathe in incredible amounts of air and expel it as either as strong gust of wind, or by condensing the air in his lungs he can expel sub zero gusts of wind from his mouth. Weakness: Marshall is vulnerable to certain wavelengths of radiation. All of Marshall's powers, especially his strength, stamina, and resistance to physical injury, are affected by his level of confidence. If his confidence in himself wavers, he has been known to weaken to human levels. Due to Marshall being raised human he has always thought of himself as a human. With some training he has become more and more proficient in the use of his natural capabilities he still has moments of doubt that can leave him powerless if left unchecked. If he doesn’t fully believe in what he is using his powers for his powers can diminish considerably. One of the biggest weapons to be used against Marshall is mood altering powers namely telepathy and empathy. If some telepath took over his mind and knew what he was capable of they could literally control him at the full extent of his abilities while he himself couldn’t. Someone with empathy capabilities could inspire him to believe in himself to the point where he could truly become a superman, or discourage him to the point where he is weaker than a human being. Marshall is also vulnerable to magical effects. Although he is no more detrimentally affected by such effects than a normal human would be, this is a significantly exploitable weakness in comparison to his incredible physical resilience. Personality: Being raised by Homosexual parents Marshall has had it hard most of his life. He was raised his entire life by his mothers, Sandra and Larissa, and he is very open minded because of it. His entire life he has been blue from head to toe so it has always been evident that he was different. Most thought he was simply a mutant, but the truth is he is an alien from another planet. Marshall tended to avoid confrontation and had never been the one known to instigate a conversation. He has spent most of his life being beaten up, pushed into lockers, and being made fun of by his peers. Because of his upbringing Marshall learned pretty early not to care so much about what others thought so he simply tried to be as nice as he could and keep to himself. Every day used to be a challenge for Marshall as he was very passive before he came to Xavier’s School. He was picked on and demeaned often as a youth and now as a young adult and with the help of some new friends he has really grown out of his shell. The shadows of his past remain none the less and can sometime rear their ugly head at the least desirable moments. Because of his parents people often times assume that he is a homosexual as well which is completely untrue. He doesn’t make friends easily and tends to scare easily even though he has never really been injured. Marshall doesn’t fight back physically most of the time, but when someone is derogative toward his mothers or close friends he becomes a little defensive. This is really the only thing that gets to him. He can take being hit and demeaned, but when it comes to Sandra and Larissa he will at least say something in their defense. If pushed too far with this he has been known to get extremely angry to the point of actual physical confrontation. Thus far this has resulted in someone’s football being crushed in the grip of one of his hands. Marshall was also very detrimental to himself. He tore himself down constantly, and tended to cry when he hurt both physically, emotionally, and spiritually. While he has worked past this to some degree he still gets depressed from time to time and makes frequent visits with his psychologist to vent so as to not hinder his work as a member of the X-men. With his new found team mates and purpose Marshall has come a long way from being the comic book that found himself in a locker more often than not. Physical Description: (Combat): Due to Marshall’s capabilities his clothing isn’t required to be as resilient as it has to be for other heroes. In combat he prefers to wear his tight uniform that holds to his body so as to not to limit his mobility and so to not extend past his personal defense aura that gives him his super human resistance. His blue skin is always evident, and his nigh-shoulder length hair is usually brushed back out of his face. He keeps a small goatee on his chin. (Civilian): Marshall tends to wear whatever is clean. He was raised not to be picky or to care about the people’s names on his clothes. So he wears whatever is comfortable. He likes his slacks loose, his shorts a little long, and his shirts to fit. He really enjoys comfortable shoes seeing as how he spends a lot of time running or walking. History: Civil war had broken out over Strontia, and the days of those that valued science and peace seemed to be coming to an end. With his last breath Tennet placed his infant son into a small ship to send him to the Shi’ar Imperial Guard for protection. Unfortunately the craft was intercepted by a Strontian known as Kallark whom knew that the Imperial Guard had little time to deal with the needs of an infant. So with his great strength Kallark launched the small craft into the nearest Stargate toward the planet Earth. He planned to send the child to the mansion of the X-men. While the craft did make it to New York it did not end up in the desired hands. The local services took the child to an adoption agency. The child was deemed a mutant and sent to a foster home. While there the baby was forced through extreme cruelty as the foster parents reminded him daily that he was just a pay check to them. When he was adopted by Sandra and Larissa it was the greatest day of his young life. He had a home, and a set of parents that loved him dearly no matter what the color of his skin was. They named the child from the stars Marshall after Sandra’s father. For the next five years Marshall grew up much like other children, and barely even noticed that he was any different. His mothers constantly informed him that there were many races around the world, and he shouldn’t be worried about the color of his skin. This was all well and good until Marshall was ready for kindergarten. When Marshall arrived at school the other children teased, and made fun of his blue skin this led to Sandra and Larissa deciding to move to what was affectionately known as mutant town, New York. While things got better they didn’t become perfect. Most of the children in Marshall’s class that had evident mutations already had some sort of power while he simply had blue skin. When asked about his abilities he would simply smile and say he’s just blue all the time. During the first PTA meeting people learned that his parents were homosexuals and the parents began to spread rumors among their children which lead to ridicule for Marshall. The next ten years of the young man’s life were filled with constant fights and confrontations. His mothers didn’t want him to fight so he didn’t and this often led to him being picked on and bullied by the other students. Marshall simply endured and tried to keep his grades up, and simply be a good boy. His parents were forced to deal with a world that didn’t completely understand their love, and Marshall didn’t want more strain to be put on his loving parents. Marshall never seemed to come home bruised or injured throw in the fact he never told his moms that he was being beat up on, and it made them rather ambiguous to the situations except when the teacher would call and mention that Marshall was constantly being picked on by the other children. The beginning of High school promised to be a new start, and Marshall hoped for the best. He joined the Manga club in order to make some friends with interests close to his own. He tended to draw, and read at all times which gave him an outlet for all the stress he endured from life. His mothers often bought him books to occupy his time and he loved to read about the super powered heroes and heroines in the books. Marshall continued to progress in his art, but his parents began to worry about him not dating or even hanging out with people outside of club meetings. They tried to interest Marshall in sports, but he kind of just made it clear that he liked to use his mind over his body. He was also fairly skinny for his height, and felt it would only give, whom he referred to as, the jocks another way to pound him. One day while walking out of school from a Manga Club meeting Marshall was stopped by a couple of the guys that play football. It was the usual teasing, and harassment that led to them taking turns throwing footballs at him. One threw one so hard into Marshall’s stomach that he buckled over and felt dry heaves coming up from his stomach. He looked up with tears in his eyes and asked why and they informed him that he should be use to being on his knees for all the guys. Marshall cried, and the jocks could sense his feelings like sharks sense blood in the water. They continued on him until one of them went on to say something about his moms in the reference of who the butch was and who was the bitch. Marshall’s face contorted as he stood up. The football that had been in his stomach was now in the palm of his hand. With darkened furrowed eyes Marshall looked through his tears at those around him. The football exploded in his hand as his fingers flexed into a fist. His teeth grit as he looked on at his assailants. The attackers ran, and Marshall looked to his hand. He couldn’t believe what he had done to the football, and got scared quickly. He looked around to see if anyone noticed it. He then told himself that he wasn’t just blue he had other abilities. Marshall gathered up his belongings and ran home to his parents to get their insight on the events. Sandra informed him that it could have just been coincidence, and Marshall took this as an explanation and went to bed early that night. Sandra and Larissa discussed the occurrence that night while Marshall slept. The next morning Marshall woke up with a smile on his face with a little bit of sunlight going across his eyes. He sat up and stretched and then noticed that he felt like he was floating on air. He looked down to his bed which he was currently hovering above, and grew scared. He fell down onto his bed which broke off the legs. Sandra and Larissa came through the door to see what the crash was to see Marshall scared and sitting on the remnants of his bed. He looked up with teary eyes and told his parents that he was floating inexplicably above his bed. Sandra and Larissa knew it was time to call for help. If Marshall had active abilities then he would need training in order to use them. A week passed and Marshall arrived at Xavier’s school with the permission of his mothers’. At first things seemed weird to the young man as he hadn’t been forced into involvement with other students before. He knew he didn’t have to do anything he wasn’t comfortable with, but at the same time it was encouraged in order to learn your personal capabilities. As the weeks passed it seems Marshall found a new power once a week which astounded most of his class and teachers. Professor Xavier soon noticed similarities between Marshall and someone from his past. After a blood test it was confirmed that Marshall wasn’t a mutant he was a native to Strontia. After a couple of years at the school focusing on learning his abilities as best he could, and keeping his mothers filled in on everything he did he graduated High School and two years of college. Being more focused on his capabilities and what he could do to help others Marshall decided to take time off from school and focus on helping the world as a member of the X-men. |

Hi, welcome to SD's RPG. Unfortunately, the staff don't know much about the Strontian race, so we were just wondering if you could link us to a site that mentions something about the powers that Strontians possess. We've looked around a little, but didn't find much, however, we are quite interested. - SD Staff |

Sure no problem. The dilema with this character at first for me was I assumed all Strontians were as strong as Gladiator from the Shi'ar. So the first time I used him he was basically the super character. After I read War of Kings I found out all Strontians have the powers, but to get to Kallark's level you have to go through the Gladiator Process. So I toned him down a ton from what Kallark could do. And now here is what you asked for instead of my procrastinating, lol. Xenith Kallark a.k.a. Gladiator |

Thanks for providing a detailed answer so quickly. I really appreciate it. *stamp of approval* Just as a side note, because you have a powerful character, we expect you to make sure you don't use him in any god-mutant ways. Judging by what you've said, I think you understand completely and won't have this problem.
