It was a beautiful sunny Sunday; the best weather they'd had all week. The sun shone clearly out of a brilliant blue sky, and there wasn't a cloud in sight. "It should be illegal to just be sitting around on a day like this," muttered Shay to herself from her perch on the hood of her car. She'd been sitting out there for about fifteen minutes, soaking in the sun as she struggled to think of something fun and exciting to do. Idly, she twirled her car keys around her index finger, clearly with an itch to go somewhere, she just couldn't think of where. Not for the first time she'd thought about going back to NYC, but always ended up changing her mind at the last minute, usually because it would be just her going since everyone else seemed to be busy. And really, what fun is running wild in NYC if you don't have another person going crazy right beside you? She let out a soft sigh, lightly fingering the silver ring loop as she continued to twirl it. She seemed to get a little too into it, however, and before she knew it, the keys had gone flying off of her finger and landed about five feet away near the mailbox. "Damn," she muttered, though didn't look too concerned as she continued to sit on the hood of her car. After a few minutes, she slid off with a groan and went over to pick up her keys. She slipped them into her pocket after dusting them off, and proceeded to return to her seat on her car. She couldn't help but jump in surprise when she noticed that someone else was already sitting there. |

"Hey Shay." Pietro said, not even noticing how badly he'd scared her. "When d'ya get the car?" Pietro had been in and out of the Brotherhood house more often that usual lately. To say he had missed a few things at the Brotherhood would have been an understatement. Even the Brotherhood itself had changed. New members arriving, other members leaving. Pietro really need to get caught up. |

"Oh! Hey, Pietro," smiled Shay once she regained her composure from being startled and walked up to him. "And I got it about a week ago...Adrian got it for me." She looked at Pietro for a few minutes, realizing just how little of him she'd seen lately, and to say the least...she'd missed him. With a grin, she walked around the car to the side that was closest to where he was sitting, and wrapped her arms around him in a hug. "So, what've you been up to lately?" she asked wiht a smile, bringing an arm up to lightly run her fingers through his perfect-as-ever hair. "I've noticed you've been out and about a lot lately. Did you ever hear about Anthony leaving?" |

"It's nice." Pietro said, running his hand lightly on the steering wheel, admiring the obviously expensive car. Pietro returned Shay's hug, embracing her tightly. He hadn't had a chance to see her much lately and he had really missed her. "Oh, you know, I've been...around." Pietro explained, waving his hands around as if brushing the matter off. He didn't like keeping things from Shay but he really didn't see the need to tell her that he'd been searching for his father a lot lately. All his searching had been in vain though, and he still didn't know much more than he had to start off with. "Hey hey! Watch the hair..." Pietro smiled. "And uh yes. I've noticed that he's gone now. Seems he left a certain sister here though." [[Just stopping off to make a post. Gotta go now though. Gotta watch a movie with my mom. Ttyl.]] |

"Yeah, I like it," said Shay in regards to the car. "A bit more...flashy...than I would've gone for, but I do like it. Not to mention we really needed another vehicle than just the jeep." She gave him a light peck on the cheek as he returned her hug; pulling back as he explained where he'd been. "Around, huh?" asked Shay with a slight smirk. "Well, as much as I'm glad that you haven't been bored out of your mind like most of us have from just sitting at home, I hope that you hang around here more often." Her tone was very light and slightly teasing, though he could tell that she really had been missing him. Though there was something about his answer...how vague his answer was, perhaps...that she couldn't help but be curious about. She didn't pry, though, and instead grinned and ran her fingers through his hair again just to tease him. "Oh, and I'm glad you've already met Roxy," said Shay, the grin still on her face. "She's really cool. I do kinda miss Anthony, though, and Marina. Did you hear that her mom came and apparently dragged her back to the Institute? It was crazy!" Shay paused for a moment as a sudden thought crossed her mind. "Wow...things have really changed a lot, haven't they?" she asked with surprised realization in her voice...and she wasn't just talking about the Brotherhood either. Between the new members that had come...to the ones that had gone...not to mention the changes between the X-Men and the Brotherhood. It really surprised her to realize that they were almost on what could be considered 'good' terms with each other. It was all really strange now that she actually took the time to think about it, and even scary in some cases such as Marina and the demon possessing her. As this thought crossed her mind, Shay blinked and realized there was something she had been meaning to ask Pietro for a few days. "Hey, Pietro?" she asked, turning towards him with an almost nervous smile. "I'm sure you've noticed that I've been staying in your room a lot lately the past few days...would it be okay if I moved some of my stuff in there for a little while? Don't worry, it shouldn't be for too long," she added quickly, a little unsure if he'd mind or not. "Just long enough for me to make a few...okay, a little more than a few...repairs? My room is a bit of a disaster zone at the moment." She wasn't sure if she was going to go into the full story of just how everything was literally blown to bits, and was hoping that she wouldn't have to. Then again, she could imagine he'd be a little more than curious if he actually went inside and saw all the damage. (Oh, cool. Have fun; ttyl )

"Flashy and expensive. You shouldn't be complaining." Pietro said with a teasing smile. "Seems like your brother cares about you from what I see." "And don't you worry, I'll be around now." To be honest, Pietro had kind of given up on his search. Well, for the time being at least. Pietro gave a slightly annoyed but amused look as Shay ran her fingers through his hair yet again. "Oh, and yeah, I've met Roxy. She's quite a great singer." Pietro said with a laugh as he remembered catching her in the act of singing into her 'hairbrush' microphone. Pietro arched an eyebrow at her surprised look. "Yeah. I guess it's not as easy to see the changes when you're there watching it all happen. You know, I feel really terrible. The whole thing with Marina and her mom and I wasn't even here, and I guess since Anthony was gone, she really didn't have any reason to try to resist her mother's wishes." Pietro said, sighing. He knew he should have been there for everyone while all this was happening. Pietro's mood lightened though when Shay began babbling nervously about staying in his room. "Shay...Shay..." Pietro desperately tried to get her to stop babbling, and when she finally finished he just smirked at her, trying to hold in his laughter. "Shay, it would be more than okay if you moved some of your stuff into my room for a bit." Pietro paused for a moment, considering the statement he had just made. "In fact, it'd be even better if you left everything there, along with yourself." He smirked again, before giving her a kiss on the lips and then tilting his head against her neck. Ah, how he had missed that intoxicating scent. |

"His heart's in the right place," laughed Shay softly at Pietro's assessment of her brother. "It's his head that I'm not always sure about." When Pietro mentioned that he'd be hanging around more often, Shay's eyes lit up with a very strong look of happiness as she grinned, leaned over, and playfully nipped at his neck, murmuring, "I'm glad to hear it." "And yeah, Roxy's a great singer," remarked Shay as she pulled back, a smile gracing her lips at the memory of her singing an Avril Lavigne son. "And she's got great taste in songs." Shay's smile was replaced by a small frown, sensing Pietro felt a bit guilty for not being around when so many changes occured. "Hey," she said softly, reaching over to gently slip her hand into his; her thumb caressing his hand. "I have a feeling that Marina's going to be back here soon. From what I heard, she didn't go back to Xavier's place without a fight. If worst came to worst, we could always try and bust her out." Shay gave a small laugh at the idea, giving Pietro's hand a gentle, reassuring squeeze. "Don't worry." She couldn't help but blush slightly at how much she had been blabbing, though all embarrassement and shyness faded as soon as he offered her to move in with him and stay. "Really?" she asked, giving a soft snicker against Pietro's lips as she gladly returned the kiss. "Mmmm...I'll take that as a yes. And you can take this as a yes too." She gave him another tender kiss; smiling when she felt him rest his head against her neck after they'd parted. With a smile, she rested her own head against his, nuzzling his soft hair. "I'll take care of moving everything a bit later...I'm a little too comfortable at the moment," she said with a grin before giving a small, happy sigh and allowing her eyes to close momentarily. "So, did you have anything planned for today?" asked Shay without opening her eyes. "As usual there's nothing really going on inside...I was trying to think of something to do but didn't really have any ideas. How about you?" |

Pietro shrugged lightly as he thought of Adrian. "Yeah. Well I just hope he comes to love the Brotherhood as much as we do. I really don't want him to end up doing what Marina's mom did. Forcing you to leave with him I mean." Pietro said with a worried look on his face. "I really hope you're right about Marina though. As much as I'd love to go over to the X-geeks and bust her out, I'd rather not have Marina's mom after us with the law." Pietro said with a laugh as he imagined busting Marina out from the Institute. He squeezed Shay's hand back as if to say he understood. Pietro smiled into the kiss, which seemed to by Shay's way of responding and saying thank you. "Comfortable...mmmhmm..." Pietro murmured contentedly. Pietro was so completely relaxed that he almost didn't hear what Shay was saying. "Huh? Plans? Nope. But I don't really have any idea of what we could do." |

"Believe me, as much as I've come to love Adrian, there's no way I'm going to leave," said Shay, frowning slightly upon remembering the fights they've been having lately about that. "Yeah, like we need the law after us for more than just being mutants," remarked Shay with a small, humorless laugh. "Still...I hate the fact that there doesn't seem to be much else we could do that wouldn't get us in trouble that way." She wrapped an arm around him, snuggling close. She was getting so comfortable, she just might have fallen asleep if Pietro's answer to her question hadn't snapped her back to reality. "Hmmm...me either, actually," said Shay with a small, almost sulky sigh. "I mean, I had thought about driving to NYC, but with my sense of direction in that big of a city, I'd probably either get lost or have to ask for directions every five minutes." She gave a light laugh, imagining herself wandering through the busy streets and asking completely random people for help on how to get from place to place; similarly to how she and Samantha did on their last trip. "Probably should stick with something a little more local, huh?" |

Pietro snapped out of his daze at the name of his hometown. "NYC? Shay, what are you talking about? We could go there. I know that city as well as the remote to the TV. Please don't tell me you didn't know where I grew up." Pietro said, suddenly filled with energy again. |

"Oh don't worry, I knew it was your hometown," said Shay with a small grin. "I just didn't know that you were home about ten minutes ago when I thought about going. But hey, if you wouldn't mind going now, I'd love to go. I'll even let you drive if you want." With a playful grin, she dangled the keys to her car a foot or so in front of his face. |

"Alright then. It's settled, we're going." Pietro said, grinning evilly at the idea of driving the car. He stared at the keys dangling in front of him, seemingly mezmerized. "Sooo...just how fast can this thing go?" He asked, his eyes still watching the keys. |

"Okay, I think I can do that." Pietro smirked, sticking the keys into the ignition, and starting the car. "I hope you've got your seatbelt on." They pulled out of the driveway, tires screeching as Pietro whipped the car around the bend. [[If wer're going to NYC we should probably start a new thread in "Other places".]] |

Shay gasped, clutching onto the dashboard as the car jerked forward. She relaxed almost instnatly however once they got on the road, a grin flashing across her face as she couldn't help but wonder just how many cops they'd have on their tails by the time they got to NYC. "So, does it go fast enough for you?" asked Shay teasingly (Do you want me to start it, or would you rather?) |
