Pictures:Art of Steven E. Gordon Real Name: Unknown Code Name: Rogue Age: 18 Origins: Caldecotte Mississippi Height: 5'6'' Weight: 108 pounds Hair: Straight, hair a bit longer than the lenght of her soulders. Brown auburn hair with pure white bangs. Always wears her hair loose Eyes: Dark Brown, uses purple eyeshadow Mutant Powers: Power absorbation in the case of mutants. She also absorbes the life force and memories of her victims. She cannot touch anyone without endangering their health or life. The emotions and memories of anyone she absorbs become her own to a degree, which is a further strain on her sanity. Skills: Has grown as a skilled martial artist. Practises every afternoon at the high school. She also possess some acrobatic movements. History: Very little is known of the young mutant named Rogue, least of all by her. All she knows is that her mutant ability keeps her from experiencing human contact. When she was discovered by Professor Xavier, she was living with the mutant known as Destiny, under the strict orders by Mystique that the young girl was to know nothing of her past. When the X-Men arried to recruit her, Mystique used her shapeshifting abilities to make Rogue think the X-Men were attacking her, causing Rogue to join the Brotherhood of Mutants. Time progressed, and during a snow-mobile field trip, Rogue learned what Mystique was truly like when she attempted to kill the X-Man Cyclops, and Rogue as well if she didn't get out of the way. After this, Rogue joined the X-Men, lending her abilities to their cause of human-mutant peace, and secretly having a crush on Cyclops. Despite her Gothic, loner style, Rogue has come to accept herself as a member of the X-Men family, and is slowly learning to open up to people. She has also developed a crush on Cyclops, part of which may have come out of her jealousy towards Jean, since when Jean was undergoing a "Power Surge," Rogue absorbed some of her powers to get her to calm down. It is possible that she absorbed some of Jean's feelings for Scott as well. Currently, Rogue has befriended a young English student by the name of Risty Wilde, and they have become good friends. Only time will tell what becomes of the friendship, especially since Risty is actually Mystique. There is some implied connection between the two women that has yet to be revealed. After Mystique impersonated Professor X and led to the Mansion's destruction, Juggernaut reappeared, and the X-Men were forced to battle him. When Rogue imprinted him, she realized that Mystique had freed the crazed brute and placed Xavier in Juggernaut's holding tank. This knowledge allowed the X-Men to free their mentor. Shortly thereafter, Rogue went to a popular rock concert with her newly-refound friend, Risty. Rogue had known that she was beginning to lose control of the powers she had absorbed, but when Rogue came into contact with Risty, she realized that she was, in fact, Mystique's adopted daughter. After this, the powers Rogue had absorbed over the past two years began to surface. She lost control of her mind, and began fighting with the X-Men. She was stopped only by being talked down by Wolverine, who had been in that same state of mind many years ago. Shortly afterwards, the Acolyte named Gambit abducted Rogue in an alley and brought her down to Louisiana, where he convinced her to help him rescue his own foster-father Jean-Luc. Rogue somewhat reluctantly agreed, and the pair fought off the Rippers Guild, Gambit's family's nemeses. Eventually the X-Men were able to track Rogue down and assisted in finishing off the Rippers' base. Realizing that she loved being with the X-Men, Rogue returned to Bayville, but not before Gambit gave her a lucky card. Later, when Apocalypse returned to try and mutate all of humanity, Rogue was the key to defeating him, when all else had failed. She absorbed Leech's and Nightcrawler's powers, then teleported into Apocalypse's ship and unleashed an energy-dampening blast that shut down Apocalypse's machine. Afterwards, Mystique tried to justify her actions to Rogue and Nightcrawler, but they told her to get lost. Personality: Rogue is heavily re-imagined as a rebellious, yet deeply insecure teenage Goth. Her powers make her cynical and reclusive, but deep inside she is consumed by the desire to touch the people she loves. Rogue contunued to be very secretive and builds up her personal emotions deep inside her being. Rogue is a sullen teenager trying to distance herself from society. Thanks to her isolation, Rogue has trouble trusting people. |
