teh roleplayers.
Hey there, how's it going? Name's Rachel.

I am a new person. I joined because I want to roleplay. Yeah, that's right--I joined a roleplay community to roleplay. However, the other communities I have joined in the past couple of weeks are terribly slow. What is this, this thing that people have about not wanting to roleplay? They come up with characters and plots, but no action.

So I hope you guys can rescue me.

I look at roleplay like an interactive story. I like stories that have twists and turns, and eventually endings--even if the endings are a major let-down. I look at replies like they shouldn't be fancy-smancy or very long, but instead they should be interesting and show something actually happening. Replies should leave room for the other person to reply, and give them plenty of options for how to behave.

I also don't look at introduction paragraphs like they're a big deal. They're supposed to set the feel of the roleplay, but otherwise they're just a beginning. Keeping the story going (and keeping it interesting)? Now THAT'S important.

Anyway, if you don't agree with that, feel free to let me know. I like ideas. And thoughts. And variety. And creativity. ♥

Sorry for the little rant. As of what I roleplay? Anything. Even the cliche' unoriginal stuff. I just try to (note the word "try") to put a spin on each character and each story.

Genres I LOVE?

cyberpunk
alchemy
supernatural
psychological thriller (horror)

Other genres I like.
modern
family
town
gifted
egg-hatching
survival-horror
fantasy
sci-fi
alien
high school
university
anthro/furry

Genres I HATE?
romance when it's by itself
westerns

Any fandoms?
Silent Hill,
and Disney personification

Slash and Pairings?
Although I won't roleplay romance by itself, I am all for some romance mixed into the plot. I will do any variety, be it m/m (gay), f/f (les), or m/f (hetero). I don't do typical yaoi pairings where one's an uke, the other's a seme (but I WILL do yaoi, or gay depending on your definition). I have gay characters, I have bi characters, and I have straight characters. Who likes who depends completely on the characters, not me. My characters do what they want to do. I'm not always 100% in control.

Is this forum really that dead? I'm sorry, but as much as I love the layout and everything about it, it's not active enough for me. I'm leaving. :( Feel free to email me when you get more members...
