Yep, so I just won a Dreamcast off the Gametraders Facebook page. So, now I need some game suggestions for it. The one I won comes with "Sega Rally" and "Trick Style." The only games I can think of are: - Sonic Adventure 1/2 - Shenmue 1/2 - Crazy Taxi - Skies of Arcada - Jet Set Radio So yeah, suggestions are welcome. x3 I'm mainly looking out for action, adventure, racing, and RPG games. Not really looking out for fighting games (which seem to flood the console, from what I've seen from game lists). |

Resident Evil Code: Veronica, Grandia 2. Metropolis Street Racer and Wacky Races are pretty good racers. Honestly, the Dreamcast doesn't have a whole lot to offer in terms of like high quality outside of those fighting games. It would do you well to own the first Soul Calibur, though. That really is a terrific game. You've got plenty listed there to get you started, though. Actually, I'll make it easy for ya: 1. Shenmue 1&2 2. Sonic Adventure 1&2 3. Soul Calibur 4. RE Code Veronica 5. Jet Grind Radio Get those and you already have a really nice Dreamcast collection. |

dreamcast is THE WORST THING EVER except that sega master system and sega saturn happened. ohhh, poor sega. :\ well okay there's tons of worse consoles out there but i don't own them. Anyway, even if you aren't into fighting games, I suggest looking into Power Stone. As I'm sure you've heard/seen, it's not your typical fighter. Also, if you don't have a copy of Rayman 2 yet, Dreamcast has a good one. Hey, so Shenmue 2 was released in Europe, but was it also released in Australia? |

I think so. In any case, Australia is within the PAL region, so there wouldn't be any issue when it comes to playing it. | |

An Australian console will have no problems playing a European game. Though I will admit, outside of the Mega Drive/Genesis, I have never heard many positive things about Sega. That darn Sonic. Heard better things about Dreamcast and Master System than Saturn though, seeing as to this day I don't think I've ever heard of a Saturn game in my life. But still, Dreamcast had a lot of potential, but it was way ahead of its time. It's like, the PS3 of the N64/PS time, but they discontinued it before it could kick off. Sony (with the PS3) on the other hand, have tried to stretch out its lifespan (to about 10yrs, over the usual 5) so that people can at least grow into the technology. Ah well, what can you do? As for Rayman 2, it is a brilliant game, but I already have it on N64 and if I were to buy it again, I'd get the 3DS copy (which is a remake of the Dreamcast copy anyway).
That's what I've noticed reading the *best of* lists. Maybe they're all written by fighting game fans. I am impressed that some online games can still be played online though, considering XBox LIVE has been shut down for original XBox games. |

Ever heard of Nights Into Dreams? The Saturn is a flop but it's way better than the unremarkable Master System. Also, Dreamcast is no where near the greatest system ever, but I think its among the more admirable efforts. Don't get the wrong idea though, it is a good console. |

No, never heard of Nights into Dreams. I have heard about Alex Kidd (from the Master System) though.
