I'll never tell if I was serious or not.

And Bowser, why complain until you know ANYTHING about the game? The game should not be called good OR bad right now.

Could it be good? Of course it could be, but I'd rather complain about it and be proven wrong than praise some dopey preview as if they've earned that.
^ This.

I would rather hear praise than bitching and whining.

I'd rather hear neither. At least, not until we have something substantive to make our complaints on.

I never gave Shadow the Hedgehog another replay. Replaying Sonic Heroes was really satisfying. Shadow didn't have terrific design, but it did have an engine I could get into. The guns were generally pretty fun, and there weren't too many collecting missions. There were only two missions I really didn't like: having to blow up all the bombs in that computer stage on that stupid circuit racetrack thing, and having to take med packs to all the people on ARC. Generally, though, you just ran forward, made some jumps over bottomless pits, and shot the right things. You couldn't shoot good guys if you wanted to get a good grade on a good mission, though, and the same thing for bad guys with bad missions. If it was a normal mission, you only shot bad guys, because the only things that mattered for normal mission scoring were time and rings, and if you shot all the bad guys, you could use chaos control and that would give you an awesome time for the stage.

Also Fanta your avatar was Wario and I was like "Wait that doesn't sound like Wonder Wario" but it turns out WW is using Mario for his avatar anyway.

That I do agree with. I was just saying that imo it's understandable for people to groan at the announcement of a new Sonic game. It's a more a general reaction I'd say than one specifically targeted at the game, although as I said the title doesn't really help.

It's kinda of like with the Resident Evil movies. They all suck, and every time I read a new movie has been greenlit I pull a Yoshi here :??? . I'd love for it to not suck, but I have no reason to believe that the new movie won't be since its done by the same team and director that did the last.

Which? Sonic Unleashed? Nice. I liked that game. That's about how I'd do a Mario & Sonic game, in fact, replacing the annoying and tedious Werehog parts with Mario. I think they nailed Sonic, though.

One time, I was hanging out with a couple friends, and I was talking about how I was considering quitting video games, or else just limiting the kind of games I'd actually choose to play. My thoughts were based on things like productive use of time and such. Later I mentioned that if I do quit playing video games, I should play another game first, since I didn't think I'd want Sonic Unleashed, which I'd tried out at another friend's house a week before, to be the last game I'd ever play. One guy said to me, "That's the last game you played? No wonder you wanted to quit video games."

There's a bunch of miscellaneous wisp info that doesn't really matter, but then Nintendo Power says that the Wii version is 70% 2D. Also, apparently the 2D sections are more difficult platforming bits, while the 3D portions are more speedy.

Haha, man, you sure do act uncomfortable when I say stuff like that. Of course there are gonna be fanboys who act like they enjoy the game, as awful as it is. I was just narrating my experience with the game.

Yes, timnis, because no one could honestly find something you don't like enjoyable. You're the sole arbiter of taste. I bow to your masterful ability.
