That "thank you" was in the name of us all - I noticed that the thread wasn't replied to and I couldn't prevent myself from being polite  |

So I judged too soon. You were feeling sorry for me because no one said hi back. What a fool I am. |

You did it again  You're not a fool, I wouldn't do it out of sheer pity. I wrote what I wrote because I think it is the only normal thing a warmly welcomed person can do. I wasn't being condescending, I was just being me

Hello all My name is Ishtar. I'm here because I was attracted by your comment at the end of the Neanderthal genome to be unveiled story, the said unveiling of which takes place later today. When I got here, I also found that I liked this, in your mission statement.
This really resonated with me. So really I should come clean. I'm here because I run a forum that, as part of its scope, touches on some areas that are also of interest to you, and does so for the same reasons expressed in your mission statement. My members are very interested in the origins of man generally, but we approach matters more from a shamanic point of view. We are, in effect, scientists and archaeologists and shamans who have come together to discuss these matters. However, we're a bit light on those who specialise in anthropology and geneology. And so I've registered on here in the hope of learning more, to help the understanding of my members and also with particular regard to today's announcements on the Neanderthals. It's even occurred to me (and I'm really not trying to poach anyone) that if one of you would like to be loaned out to us for a short period, you could maybe come across to Ishtar's Gate and explain what today's results mean in terms of the theory of the common ancestor. In any case, that aside, I've gone through the forum and I can't find where this discussion is taking place, so if someone could direct me, I'd be most grateful. Welcome to our lil'spot Ishtar... (By the way, nice site.) There has been some threads about neanderthals, the most recently active being http://s6.zetaboards.com/man/topic/528519. Sadly to say, the discussion has stopped, except for Jhangora kindly updating us with news breaks. Maybe you can start up the discussion again. |

Hi Jhangora Just noticed your reply. I'm glad you like the avatar. It's from a book cover - a book called Genisis (stet) which is about the sacred geometry of the Rennes Le Chateau region of France by David Wood. He found evidence of mystic practises reminiscent of Egyptian ones and so this cover shows Isis sitting on the Ark of the Covenant. As Ishtar is the Babylonian equivalent of Isis, I thought it appropriate. I've been specialising in the mystic practises of our ancestors for a long time now, and I find that sacred geometry is where it all links up. |

That is interesting. Infact we used to have a Basque member, Maju who is still crazy about Megaliths. I think they are also related to sacred geometry and the stuff. I was very poor at geometry and algebra at school so can't be of much help
