Posts: 180 Group: Member Member #480 Joined: January 1, 2006	Ideas/suggestions, hope you like or don't like, I don't mind, just putting ideas out there. - Shoutbox? - Fix the arcade please? (I'll hook it up if you want) - Let's improve the Kamain Wiki. (I don't know how but let's do it) - Fix the chat - Should I make a new toolbar for Kamain's World? It'll totally replace Fallen ArchAngel's Kambar, if he's ok with it. - Let's get actual blogs. (I'll be blog mod...or we could have a team of blog mods) - An actual gallery system would be nice. (I'll be gallery mod or we could have a team of gallery mods) - I'll get us a nice bbcode mod which allows admins to create any bbcode they wish for. - Last but not least, let's advertise this community and Kamain's Gaming Expo! That's all the ideas I got so far. We gotta work like a community y'know!

They probably suffered from linkrot or they were using ripway and ripway deactivated the users for not logging on for 30 days. I don't know if a new skin is necessary but if it is, I've got plenty of good ones. I've been getting alot better at skinning.

RPG Making is somewhat dead around here, and don't try to deny that, 'Secret Projects' don't count for crap. For the most part, I noticed the Stories and Art forums are quite popular. Perhaps we should emphasize on them more? 'Twould be fun.

They're only good for guilds and other tight communities. Arcade - Maybe, but why? This isn't a community about playing viral flash games. Wiki - No. It was stupid to begin with. Ok, it was fun to play around with...but we don't need one...and there's no reason to have one. Chat - Who's going to use it? The chat WORKED. I simply got de-opped from the channel due to inactivity (surprise?) and then was unable to work on it. Toolbar - When you make a toolbar, there's probably going to be another one 100 times better, more functional, easier to use, and less glitchy than yours. Blogs - Nobody will use them. Plus, who's going to program the system? Gallery - Well...maybe. Could be inactive but we seem to have some art geeks around here. BBcode mod - I think you're underestimating the limitations of invisionfree. IF has no database that you can directly communicate with...therefore such a mod would be impossible (you can't save variables for the code tag, etc.). I think that any mod like that for IF wouldn't be easy to use. Advertise, KGE, etc. - This will be done when someone makes a site that is free of JS errors, and doesn't look like garbage (literally...there's JUNK ALL OVER THE PLACE on that site). Nobody will want to join the community if the website is near impossible to navigate, is coded almost exclusively in cruddy HTML, and has nothing worthwhile to download. Hey...if you want me to code a site...I know PHP and how to use a DB. I'm not saying I really want to...but I'd hate to have this site go to waste. Lastly...nobody really CARES about KGE. To everyone else, it probably just looks like some kids trying to make a contest.

Wiki response: We were caught up in "history" and controversial stuff and we shouldn't. We should be talking about game making. Chat response: I think we could try again. Toolbar response: I'll accept the challenge? Blogs response: Who's gonna program them? No one. Blog system's already made, so no one needs to go through the trouble of making one. We just need the administrative staff to implement it, if they allow it and if they could. Gallery response: Did you have to say Art geek? BBCode Mod Response: I have used Invisionfree before, I know the admin cp, I've been in an invisionfree admin cp before and I know a modification that will allow administrators to create any BBCode they desire. It is very possible. We could have all sorts of tags. (Center tags, spoiler tags, right tags, marquee tags, embed tags, youtube tags, you name it.) Advertising Response: Sure the site can use a few fixes here and there and its layout can look downright ugly sometimes whenever distorted but I don't care...(well, maybe some newbie will...) because the ugly layout didn't really turn me off. I looked at the resources here and there and thought, I should check it out. Then a familiar face was posting his game, the rest was history. There's no point, he's never gonna do a single thing about any of them. I told him the arcade was messed up like 9 months ago, and he STILL hasn't fixed it.
