"There should be a "Classic Topics" Forum on the site, where all the classic topics are put so they don't just die. You know, topics where big arguments happen, where major stuff goes down... or just interesting fights! Someone should suggest it. I suggested a Rants forum and we got it, so it's worth a try. " that's what dragon said in my rant topic a while ago called "Lol Ur Emo". I actually agree him, it's an interesting idea. Also make it to where posts don't increase so you can freely post your thoughts without worrying about spam control and stuffs. |

Actually I think the forum would just have to be read-only. |

Lol yea, and then a mod before closing should be like, "Locked and going in the Classic Topics forum", so theres at least a REASON for it in there. |

Might as well give in my two cents into this. I do think that this is a cool idea because after all, this community seems pretty close knit and it would be a great addition to the Kam-wiki and it seems like we could just relive the classic kamain days or something...BUT I don't think this is a good idea because there may be a few people that can't get over what was yesterday. While some classic topics and posts may appear funny to one user, these posts can certainly offend the next user. And how the heck would you define a "classic topic?" A topic that had flame wars? A topic that was controversial? Just what exactly? I'm somewhat for and against the idea. While we're talking about classic topics, I can't believe Akakios called me internet noob during my KW beginnings. Edit: I find that a little silly to kinda archive old topics that has violations of TOUs written everywhere. And this reminds me of "the recycling bin" but with a twist to the idea. |

Someone could suggest a topic, and people could vote using a poll if they want to have that topic in Classic Topics. Or the moderator could decide if it's a classic topic. I don't know. I know there's a lot out there. Hopefully, if this happens, the place won't be completely empty, with like three topics, or it won't be completely full, with thousands of random topics that aren't special at all. I personally don't want to see lame "Oh nintendo VS. xbox oh no let's all cry about it" topics, and let's hope to god those sort of topics don't wind up there. I DO want to see the topic where Speedpaws was all, "AKAKIOS I BAN YOU FOR YEEEAAAAR!" And everyone is all, "OH NO U DID ANT!" That would be cool. And maybe the topic where Korgone is like, "Oh I pwnt you IA. I pwnt you." And then he starts trying to "pwnt" everyone else, but he could only do it once because he is... Korgone... Well, maybe that topic. Probably not. I could dig up some old topics, and other people could too probably. But I know what people will do. They'll drag up some topic with like one page that has one lame joke that's not funny. Or there will be thousands of, "PV IS HERE HE ATTACK US ALL RUN AND MENTION HIM REPEATEDLY MAYBE HE WILL GET TIRED OF ATTENTION AND LEAVE!" Ugh. This is starting to sound worse. If done RIGHT, though, it'd be cool. |

I know it's a good idea, it's been thought of before, discussed before, but nothing really implemented. I'd rather listen to more people's opinions first before doing anything, since I know there will be a lot of issues over what is a classic topic and what is not. So... bounce more opinions off me and we'll see.

Well like it was said before there should be some kind of vote if a topic goes into the classic forum or not. |

Sounds like a good idea. And, sounds like something that was suggested before... Can't really recall whether the higher-ups agreed with it or not. I don't think topics that contained flaming would make very good classic topics. This site is supposed to be friendly and where people help each other out. Looking back at topics where somebody continually flamed a noob and everybody was laughing may not go well for us. But, voting for Classic Topics could be nice. Also, making it read-only would be a good idea.

For voting, I was thinking something along the lines of a member vote, but someone on the Moderator/Admin team would get the final say, but whilst taking into consideration of people's opinions, not just their own opinion. An overseer, or something. |

I get a title. Whee.
|
The overseer better be good, I don't want something where 95% of members say yes and the overseer says 'no', or vice versa, but if it's like 60-40 or 50-50 or maybe even 65-35, then I can see a choice being presented. |

I think that some topics to start it off that we know are going to get 100% votes anyway are Bushido Pigs, B, and Dread Comes out of the Closet. |
