I've been thinking lately. Also, for this post, I take back anything I might've said in this forum (feedback and suggestions) before. Whhyyyy do we have rules here? The whole point of this forum is to have fun, not make stuff (like RMXP or CA). So, wouldn't it be more fun without rules? There'd be no debate over who gets banned, we wouldn't need to worry about going off topic, mods would have it much easier too. If PV showed up, we wouldnt argue whether flaming him is good or not, we'd just ban him and laugh our stupid arses off. Oh, could we please remove swear filters too? Thanks. |

I already know the answer.
 Kamain will say no.  It's his website, he is the one who insisted on swear filters, and he will not remove the rules. They might need modifying, but they sure as heck don't need removing. That's quite a silly suggestion if I do say so myself. No offence. |

You do know that Kamain chose Moderators for a reason? We are his 'voice' for when he isn't around, but he does check them everyday, more or less, that I do know. |

Humans are hedonistic by default. That means, that since the day each and everyone of us was born, we are simply searching for pleasure. By your logic, laws get in the way of that and should therfore be abolished. The rules are here to prevent everything becoming a complete mess. It would a novelty having no rules for a while. I'm sure a number of you would love spamming the place up, knowing you were doing nothign wrong. After a while however, it would only be one or two people doing. Everyone else would hate it, and there would be nothign that anyone could do about it. As for flameing, it would be great for the people who enjoy insulting others. However, there are people who do not like doing that, therfore making the forum less fun for those people. Rules say in my opinion, they are here for a reason - that reason NOT being to annoy members. |

AH HA ! I looked at this topic!! that being said. I wanted these forums to be "professional" when i founded them. they became social after awhile and I just left them that way for some very good reasons So people would be around to answer RPG MAker questions I could not. So people could enjoy the company of others. that being said. I've always felt parents should eb involved in their childrens internet usage. Would I let my child go on this site? Yes. would I let my child play RB? No In fact a nine year old boy asked about playing Rb and I told him no.. it's kinda teen rated. I being a concerned parent would NEVER allow my child ona site that allowed or encouraged profantiy.. or fake profanity. so there you have it. as for current rules. once I've inducted a new admin I'll moify our current rules to be a little better |

There's a difference between 'having fun' and 'flaming and spamming'. If you guys look back at some of the topics that mods have closed in the past, and that you said 'lighten up, we're just having fun', they really WERE just a bunch of flames and spam. Honestly, we can pretty much get away with enough on here. Don't cry just because you can't say frap or post pictures of penises. |

Agree'd. I'm sure there are a lot of idiots on here who just want to spam and flame (not pointing any fingers) but a lot of us want to have serious discussions and stuff. |

Yeah, Tal and Jason make good points. Also, Kamain wants this to be a site that people of all ages to come to. No rules would certainly diminish that standpoint. |
