I think the advertisement forum actually needs a couple of rules. Few suggestions: Thread starters 1) Get at least *Insert number of posts here* to advertise or topic will be locked and thrown away. 2) Bump your thread after 24 hours have passed without a reply from someone other than you....or once a week. Whichever works. 3)"Hmm...nobody's comented on my thread/site lately. BuMP P4R7Y!!111one11!!eleventy!

Do not take criticism on your project as a personal attack against you. In most cases, the poster means well (enough) and is offering criticism to help your site/forum improve. Retaliating against any post made in your advertisement thread can count as flaming. If you feel that you are being personally attacked, report the posts in the question....unless you're Korgone and Akakios is attacking you then you might want to notify one of the more active nicer admins and global moderators like Kamain, Jason, Erichermit, Speedpaws, Luke Strife, Nickq2007 and Nubbins. (If you're not listed, I've nothing against you.) Responding members 1) Even though there's five posts saying the same thing, I feel like posting it anyway! "d-d-dur" The thread starter can read. No need to beat a dead horse with spam. 2) Uhhh, I can't find it. What kind of a stupid thread is this!? I'm gonna bother the thread starter now. Look kid, check the first post. 3) Oh no, not another RMXP forum. Oh no not another rmxp.org wannabe. Seriously. If you really have nothing nice to say, keep it to yourself. It's not constructive and it's considered spam in some cases. 4) I'm going to keep reminding this guy how much his forum sucks from summer to winter Posting weekly saying "It's sucks, quit while you're ahead" really gets annoying because it is not constructive, it is spam and you're probably trying to increase your post count, and it just says something about you like: you have nothing better to do than to provoke the thread starter by repeating yourself. No one likes repetition. EDIT: Some were based off of the Korgone RPG thread and some were taken from RMXP.org's Project Discussion Rules announcement. |

Well, they're not really rules, but you do make some good points. Personally, I beleive that people should stop making websites that already exist, but even still that shouldn't mean that I should complain about them. Then again, we shouldn't take rights away... |

Well, I don't really pay attention to the Advertisement forums anymore, but I like the points made above from the time I had been there... Especially the part about how somebody will post 50 times in one thread while giving the only criticism of this sucks.
