Gameplay and story are the only two ones. Although I picked story... the story depends on how good it is shown. |

I agree. If I'm playing a game and it's like really hard to play and get used to, I won't stick to it unless the story is FF7-awesome. |

Seeing as how im not into RPG's as much as youg uys, I would say multiplayer. I dont think that goes under "gameplay" because "story" didnt, which is essentaily the single player. The most fun to be had in games occurs when your doing it with others

I actually like realism and open-endedness. And by realistic, I dont mean best graphics, I mean a believable world. Look at Oblivion. Its got realism down. Open endedness to. I dont want any game telling ME what to do. |
|
Screw that. O_o | |

TYVM Flamerfox. He said exactly what I was going to say, with one exception. I think that character development is very important- theres nothing I hate more than being thrown a character that develops according to a template. This goes along with the open endedness that FF was taking about. But since you didnt havet aht up there, next most important is story. If a game has unreal graphics, wonderful gameplay, ad incredible music, but the story blows balls, I wont play it, unless its like an arcade game or something. I can handle difficult gameplay, choppy graphics, and substandard music, if it has a good story. After all, I DID play FF8. lol jk |

Gameplay Graphics Music Story Nobody cares about story, I mean seriously guys. Read a book. The shty doesn't need to be much. Everything else is very, very, imporant and are only different by small margins. Am I the only one who cares about graphics? |

No, you aren't. Unless everything else is great, I care about graphics (Look at Animal Crossing). And yeah. Dude, everything's great except the story...you won't play it....? That's on a whole new level of retardation. |

Everybody seems to think graphics just mean more polygons and more detailed textures. But it's more than that. You have to have a certain artistic style, and good level design. |

Clearly you've never played a game that was even slightly open ended. When you have choice over what your charecter does, games are much better for telling stories because you deside their fate. Also, a good vidio game's story will make it as enjoyable as a movie. |

Open-ended games I have quite a few of, though I don't see what that has to do with anything in my post. |

All the best games have amazing storys. Althought graphics are GREAT, they dont apply to kamain, because all of the games look the same, and all custom graphics are just taken off some resourses site, big woop. Music, well i dont even notice music too much when im really into a game Id say story and gameplay are two pretty massive things, in some games one outweights the other... but ultimately i like story. Sometimes in a game, i just forget about everything, gameplay graphics music. I just want to see what happenes next in the game! Story ftw |

Ah yes, I appreciate graphics aswell. But as I allready said, multiplayer is were its at :). Speaking of which have you guys checked out the game huxley? You and me may actually be able to relate to something. Huxley is officially titled as a MMOFPSRPG Or...Massivly Multiplayer Online First Person Shooter Role Playing Game. Its really something else. |

I'm ready to strangle the next person to implicate FF6 or FF7 music into their RPG Maker. But, you were joking of, course. ... Of course? >:)I picked story, but it was close between that and gameplay. FF7 had a great story... But, I probably wouldn't want to play through it that much. Smash Brothers has no story, and I play that over and over again. Tales of Symphonia had a decent story, good gameplay... I played through it once and... Hmmm, I'm now debating whether I should've picked Gameplay instead of Story... Meh. |

If you're reading this, I was bored.

Gameplay is the most important. That alone can pull through bad graphics, horrible story, and so-so music. In example: FF8 |

*plays ff7 battle music* I used to like it. Now its really annoying now that i hear it everywhere Seriously though, i don't see how ff7 was called the Greastest game ever made. It had crappy graphics. And terrible gameplay. Oh wow! Action Time Battle System! |

ff7 was SHAWFUL! I only played it because it was a legend, and after I was done, I felt compelled to call it good because it's the favorite FF of fannerds... BUT I HATED IT. Yuck = ff7. I'd rather work at Dairy Queen than play ff7. And believe me, dairy queen is terrible. Go work there. You'll see. Clean up the grease littered across the floor with a cloth, and then use the same cloth to grab the hamburgers. You get no breaks at Dairy Queen, it's 8 hours or more of pure madness. You can drink water but it's DISHSOAP, NOT WATER! You can't get free ice cream, so forget about it! YOU CAN'T SIT DOWN! You get burned nonstop while making food because you are forced to reach across the burner. You have to take out a bucket of vomit slime every 2 hours that is extremely heavy and you usually spill it on your shoes and then smell like nasty stuff for the rest of the night. Again, I'd rather work there than play ff7 ever, ever again. AERIS DIED, SO WHAT! THAT DOESN'T MAKE IT A GOOD GAME, NOBODY CARED ABOUT AERIS! Sephiroth and his fugly long hair who cares about him, he's a shawdul villain. He's not "cool" so get over that. he's a useless, pathetic pile of trash with an "OK" theme song. story might have been good a badillion years ago but stupid rpgfanboys recreated tha game a million times so ugh. and the music is ok, only good thing about it. story, characters, everything are SHAWFUL. you can date tifa or aeris, oooo wow, that makes fanboys luv the game cus they can never get a date so they gota connect thru cloud! SORRY i just really hate the game -.- |
