New Server; Kam I need you help...

That Korgone Kid Posts: 17 Group: Member Member #259 Joined: March 8, 2005	Ok I used my IP and Port to confgure it... but the Server didnt conect with no IP so then I looked at the server and it showed... so i tried using that ip and port... and you know what? it worked! So then I typed rbo2.servegame.com and port 7234 and the game worked fine... but I asked IA to try it and it didnt work... why? Do I have to edit "Generic PW Server"??? is this info wrong? Do I have to use 192.168.1.44/7234 or do I use the ip and port IP chicken gives me? 70.18.8.187/50161 ???

Sorry I just got back you need to 1. take off the connect to http proxy 2 not worry about the actual ip 3 let me try to connect. 4 remember people had issues connecting to ds. 5. I NEED to portfoward.. but what does that have to do with the NO-IP client connecting to the server.exe? Because they only connect with the proxy thing on... and kam I cant take it of... for some reson the options is grayed out and I tried reinstalling it :/

Gate user Posts: 107 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: September 29, 2004	first things first.. did you hit the playerworlds.org forums for the faq on how to get around a router?? the purpose of no-ip is to tell the world where your computer is. ok now mine is set up so with all the default options, nothing changed.. so when you first install it everything should be set-up correctly.. On no ip I have it set up as dns host A now.. what I want you to do is open the server and open no ip and leave it running because I'm going to put your server onto our server list telling us wether or not you're online.. that way I know if you're online.. then we cna work from there.. also I'm gonna take the risk of actually opening up MSN... so hopefully I'll see you on.. now on the actual no-ip site..

Oh lawd Posts: 24 Group: Retired Moderator Member #412 Joined: October 12, 2005	Being a server host is a matter of 100% trust that you wont tamper with the game. Korgone and I are only considered because we are on it almost 24/7 working on it (or we were til DS's sucky job got more sucky and DS couldn't take all the suckyness). So, you might be fine. Later on. But of now we do not know you ar trust you enough with this delicate matter.
