Just so everyone knows, if you don't like religous debates don't look here. I was just wondering what everyone here thinks how everyone was made. Do you think we evolved from the apes? or do you think God made us? Don't make this a flame war. just a debate. for me, I think God created us all. |

I am sayign that God put the Resoucrces for uni cellular beings to create. and after that they evolved to differnt things. After man evolved enough and gained enuff intelligence God staretd to interact. U cannot fight evoultuion. Homo Habilus and Homo erectus were early man. |

Allstar if that's what happened how come we don't see anymore evolution going on today? If it was going on back then wouldn't it still be going on today? |

I don't necessarily believe that God exists anymore. The reason I'm a Deist is because I recognize that whatever force did create the universe, sentient or no, is technically our God. Entropy is always increasing, however, so I don't see how a being could exist for that long a period of time. That said, I think the evidence pointing toward evolution cannot be ignored. I don't, however, believe that we evolved from chimps, as many people seem to. If that were the case, then cross-breeding would result in the extinction of the chimpanzee, which didn't happen. Rather, we must have evolved from a different primate that always had less body hair as a result of its existence in a desert climate (everyone does realize that humanity originated in Africa, right?) As a side note, I actually see a lot of wisdom in what Allstar said (crikey, who'd have thought I'd be saying that) in his last two posts. The appendix is, as he said, a remnant of our evolution. We can see what it was once used for in less-developed animals where it still has a function (it digests fibers). Since fiber now goes undigested, it serves to clean the digestive tract, a very useful trait. This is why we evolved to disclude it. As a final note, creatures don't evolve for no reason. It's pretty obvious that humans have no reason to do so, anymore. We can get food anytime we want it, wear clothing to regulate body temperature on our own, we can even use machines to adjust the weather of our environments (central air conditioning, anyone?) We're stagnant in our evolutionary path because we can be, that's all there is to it. |

Also if we did evolve from some kind of primate, the what created them? Something had to create them. So I think it was God that created them. and He then created us. |

Do you all know about the experiment that was conducted to spontaneously create microorganisms? Apparently, a group of scientists took a jar and adjusted the climate within it to match the data that they believed to be what the atmosphere of the Earth was before life appeared on it. They did this, then ran a buch of energy through it. Lo and behold, this created unicellular organisms. Apparently, the carbon and hydrogen in the atmosphere was able to bond together to create an organic tissue (that's all you need to make something organic). It had something to do with the temperature and the pressure of the environment. They still don't really know HOW it happened, but nevertheless, it did. Interesting stuff. |

korgone.... huh?
I didn't know about the appendix, but hey, isn't it strange the evolution occurs in every specimen of a species? (this may sound confusing) |
