Friday was the first day of the huge climate change. Kyle, Luke, and I stood out at the bus stop with goosebumps since I didn't want to wear a sweater for this rare weather. It was in the 50's at the time, and breezy. When it came to lunch, it was in the 60's with clear skies, but very windy. I couldn't decide, as I sat in the gazebo shivering, whether me being cold was a good or a bad thing. There was a pep rally in the gym, and the teachers were making everyone go in the gym during this lunchtime. Kyle, David, a few others, and I snuck into the hallways into our Civics class and sat there and talked the whole time. Just the weather made this day feel much different than the rest.

Friday night, Kody drove Kyle, Matt, Steven, and I to the movies on the east bank, where we all saw Paranormal Activity. It was slow, of course, but it became freakier and picked up the pace 1/3 in. Wasn't actual footage, of course. At the least, it was reenacted. I slept over at Kyle and Kody's afterward, watching Kody play some Silent Hill 2. Thanks to the movie, Kyle was too paranoid to sleep in his room alone, so we winded up all sleeping in Kody's room. (I had to sleep on the floor. D:)

I went back to my house, where I killed time watching college football games and sitting on the computer. Went back to Kody and Kyle's to find out the four of us (same from last night) were going to see a movie again that night. This time, it was Zombieland. Yus. We had to rush into the movies because it was so cold outside. The movie was pretty good, and there was some extra humor in there from the "rules". We walked back into the cold parking lot. Though it was freezing without a sweater, I somehow felt warm at the same time since I was so happy to have such a great weekend. We stopped by the nearby Raisin Canes for some chicken. After that, on our way home, we almost got into a bad accident due to this woman completely ignoring her stop sign while going at least 50. Matt had the decency to be a smartass about the buckle-up rule reference from the Zombieland movie. Once we got to our neighborhood, I winded up sleeping at their house for the second night in a row. I was kicking some ass on Team Fortress 2, Matt was playing some Call of Duty 4 on the 360, and Kyle and Kody both went to sleep.

Third day in the row, the weather was nice, clear, and in the 60's. I sat on the computer and chilled for awhile until the Saints football game came on 2 hours later. I watched the Saints destroy the Giants while stopping by on The Chapel server on Half-Life 2 Deathmatch. Once that was over, I relaxed on the deck in the backyard, where I read some chapters of The Maltese Falcon (school assignment) under the warming sun, in the cool air, and below the deep blue sky. The breeze was giving me goosebumps, but I was grateful for this weather. And damn, was I happy. "Was" isn't the word for it, because I still am. In fact, I might stand outside for a little bit tonight to enjoy the darkness and the stars above.

Damn, did I love this weekend. Seen two movies with my best friends, slept over at my best friends' two nights in a row, and the best of all: enjoyed the October weather.
