I like the Beatles. They're about 10x better than most of the crap that is being produced today. I just found two of their albums in my basement, 1962-1966 (commonly known as The Red Album) and The White Album. I'm pretty damn excited. What are your thoughts on The Beatles? |

The same can be said for a lot of music that was produced in the 70s, 80s, and early 90s. It was only after the rise of boy bands and dance phenomena (such as Cotton Eye Joe and the Macarena) that music truly started to suck. That being said, I don't like classic rock all that much. Beatles aren't that great to me. They have a couple good songs, but in order for me to like it it really has to click, yknow? I like "Let it Be" but the other two songs I liked I grew out of: Twist and Shout and Yellow Submarine. I do however like some of their solo work. I like Simply Having A Wonderful Christmas Time from McCartney, Imagine and Happy Xmas from Lennon, and the McCartney/Jackson recordings. I have a copy of Double Fantasy on vinyl though. Truth be told, I really only enjoy music that came after the dawn of the synthesizer :D Edited by Game Freak, Sep 28 2009, 07:19 PM.

Across the Universe made some great changes to some songs. Their version of Being For the Benefit of Mr. Kite is pretty awesome. |
