Sup. I guess you can say my first day of school was somewhat miserable, but it was probably because I had such little sleep that night and only had a slight interest for this school year. Things have been a little better since those... 3 days ago. Bus is still crowded, but hopefully that'll fade in a few weeks. Tomorrow, though, I'm stuck in homeroom for hours so every homeroom can take their ID picture. Here's how my classes have been: Civics Honors Same teacher who I had for world history last year, and is still pretty fun to mess with. Currently, I sit in the front with my good ol' friends Kyle, David, Josh, Don, and some others. Teacher hasn't changed; she still tells us this useless information that will probably never show up in her tests. I'm still cooperating with the note-taking and the little work she gives us daily. Algebra II Honors It's my same old teacher who taught me geometry last year. She has some sort of magic with slowing down time, because the class is completely boring and slow. Luckily, I'm not in the front of the room this time. Instead, I'm sitting with my friends. Some friends last year now have this teacher, since they had a different geometry teacher last year. Now, almost the whole group is in our class. :D My mental math skills are still madly awesome. She still makes me fall asleep. Art I My teacher is this cool skinny guy who's in his 30's. He looks sorta like a punk rocker and has piercings and tattoos. Our art assignments, on the other hand, are hard as hell. He's still great at teaching. The class is quite small, less than 10 people. None of my friends are in there at the moment, but a few of them I've seen around. Also, it turns out that my teacher also plays FPS games. He was just now, today, playing the Halo demo on a crappy old school computer. From what it looks like, I probably got madder skills. ;D English III Honors Basically, my whole group of friends is in here. Teacher is somewhat old and a little strict, but she still has moments where she's cool. Even though our desks are in ABC order, I still sit near a friend or two in the back of the first row. For now, I'm cooperating with her simple, but plenty, assignments. So things are going smooth right now. Unfortunately, the humid cloudy weather these past few days makes my school days a little depressing. Luckily, this weekend is supposed to be cloud-free and less humid. I've looked at my old weather chart from last year, and the weather is supposed to start cooling down in October. Can't wait for that. I hate the 80% humidity in the morning as I wait for the bus. |
