If you guys haven't heard, there is a new Zelda coming out for the Wii. Nintendo hasn't said much about it but they did release a picture.

Many Zelda fans including myself believe that the main plot is centered around the Master Sword. If you look at the picture, you will notice that Link isn't holding a sword. And look closely at the girl in the picture. She IS the Master Sword!

Here is a diagram that shows the similarities between the girl and the Master Sword.

Here's a video explaining in more detail what I'm saying in this post.

Perhaps it is a sequal to Majora... oh wait. Miyamoto wouldn't give us something we want. It probably has submarines or something instead.

[Gilmer's Spelling is so bad, he] probably thinks the "Holocaust" is a type of holographic pokemon card.

Remember... Capitalization is the difference between "I had to help my uncle Jack off a horse.." and "I had to help my uncle jack off a horse.."

I don't mind the train idea in Spirit Tracks. The Zelda games take place centuries apart from each other but societies of Hyrule have very little technological advancements from one game to the other. A railroad system is a long leap and I welcome it. Spirit Tracks could be the latest game in the timeline. But I'm getting off topic here.

Nintendo needs to make more games to fill in the gaps in the middle. Miyamoto won't give me what I want until he explains the Zelda timeline.

At first Miyamoto said there was a timeline (when there were like 4-5 games), then a bunch of youtube videos about different timelines were made, and as a reply Nintendo of America said there was no such thing as a Zelda timeline. This is getting pretty fucked up.

So either :

A) There was a timeline and in the end they decided to forget about it since there's too many games and they barely link with each other.
B) There was and still is a timeline, and Nintendo of America is lying /doesn't know shit about Zelda.
C) There never was a timeline, Miyamoto just didn't want to disappoint the fans by saying there was none/was caught by surprise by the interviewer and didn't know what to say.

I'm going with C. Nintendo have very lazy story writers. It wouldn't be hard at all to give Zelda a timeline. All they have to do is make each new game explain a little bit more. One of the reasons I play Zelda games is to see if the newest game explains more about the timeline. That was the best part about Wind Waker IMO. Twilight Princess made things a little more confusing though. The Temple of Time being in ruins was a nice addition but it messed the timeline up by being located in a whole different part of Hyrule.
My answer for that is:

A)The Temple of Time was moved.
B) Hyrule rebuilt up north.
C) It's n ot the same Temple of Time that was in OoT. (I only say this because it looks a little different inside.)
D) Nintendo doesn't care about consistency.

I like to think that Hyrule just moved up north. Because a lot of other things are different too. But the obvious choice is probably D, unfortunately.

could Twilight Princess be the sequel to Adventure of Link, then? Hmmm...perhaps that is where it fits on the GameTrailers retrospective timeline....Spirit Tracks may be an obvious successor to PH, which is a successor to WW, so that's all fine and dandy, and if TP goes after AoL and before the Seasons games, then we're all good!

Also, don't forget that the girl's cloak is the master sword's hilt upside down
