How do you think Obama will/will not pull us up out of this little hole we've dug ourselves in?

I don't know enough about economics to argue here.

American has been attempting to use the Keynsian Economic Model for a while now though, well...half using it. It calls for raising taxes and cutting spending during a good economy, which no politicians who wants to be re-elected would do.

Yeah, exactly. The taxes are sky high, and we have inflation and unemployment out the wazoo here. I personally was supporting Obama in the election, but I didn't agree with everything he was saying. I just liked him better than McCain and *shudder* Palin.

I hope you mean Taxes are sky high for right now, not in general.

Look at all the programs we have
look at the deficit

either we gut the budget (aka everything that isn't military...ugh) or we raise taxes. I support the latter.

We seriously need to just uproot everything. We have so many new programs slathered over old ones with so much inefficiency and bloated, outdated programs... If we could just streamline everything and make it more efficient, we'd save so much money.

Even then though, we're still going to end up spending too much money. Something's going to give eventually.
