I don't know about all of you, but I enjoy Zelda games. I play them because they are great in their own little unique way. But hey, look at this article I found about the upcoming Zelda game on the Wii:

Quote:

Zelda Wii is a game currently in development. It will be exclusively for the Nintendo Wii. It is an entirely different game than Twilight Princess. Unlike Twilight Princess, Zelda Wii will be made specifically with the Wii in mind [1].

It has been stated by Shigeru Miyamoto that Twilight Princess will be "without a doubt, the last Zelda game as you know it in its present form."[2] It is not exactly clear on what he means on this point.

When Eiji Aonuma was asked in an interview if Twilight Princess would be the Nintendo Wii's only Zelda Game he replied, "I can't say, but I guess for now, maybe, yeah [laughs]. Not to say that it's going to be the final game. There's still a lot of potential with the Wii so there's still a possibility that there could be another Zelda for it. We do have some ideas in the works, but I can't say for sure because none of them have been approved and we're still very much in the planning process, so I hope you look forward to whatever comes out."[3]

In a private meeting at the 2007 Electronic Entertainment Expo Eiji Aonuma began to give details about the Zelda Game, Phantom Hourglass. He then began speaking about the upcoming game, Zelda Wii. In his excitement he began to reveal more details about the game, but was withheld from revealing too much information by Shigeru Miyamoto. He indicated that he would like to have a whole new control system for the game, and that it was possible that one-to-one swordplay (first person perspective sword combat) could be implemented. He also said that he would like to make the game to appeal both to the casual and the hardcore gamer. [4]

Zelda Wii might not be the only new Zelda game in development[5].

oh boy. I don't like the looks on this. btw, I'm still skeptical, seeing as how it came from a Zelda Wiki. But I don't want to see a Zelda game that appeals to casual gamers. HI! I'M LINK HELP ME PUT MY TUNIC ON AND WALK OUT OF THE HUT TO BOMB SOME DODONGOS!

btw, the link is here.

I don't mind casual games. Actually, I love Animal Crossing. But Zelda shouldn't be too casual. I enjoyed those moments in the games where I finished a temple and relaxed, running from crazy chickens, in Kakoriko Village or something but I don't see how the game would progress with too much "casual-ness".

Retarded. Nintendo needs to change. Go back to what you were before the gamcube please, you suck now. Well, not *suck*, but yeah, you get my point.

I mean, like...targeting both casual and hardcore gamers, it's like...WHY? What could you possibly do to make Zelda appeal to casual gamers? That's what scares me the most about this. When they say it will appeal to hardcore gamers as well, it better be so.

Appealing to both casual and hardcore gamers = make the game extremely easy and hope it gets good reviews anyway because it's freaking Zelda.

King of Games

the zelda series is sucking major overload. twilight princess was mediocre, phantom hourglass sucked, link's crossbow training sucked, and spirit tracks is following the same path as PH.

Oh god, I hate when Nintendo tries to appeal to the casual gamer. Casual gamers can kiss my ass and stick to playing Playstation.
