The ending to this game was a MAJOR frickin' dissapointment.
I mean, I spend countless hours on this, and for what?! I commit suicide for the good of all in an anti-climactic fashion. Walk into this room, press this button, game's over. No epic battle, no difficulty, to be honest.
Anyone else share my emotions?

Thoughts exactly, but the rest of the game is awesome. I was more disappointed with the whole *find your dad for twenty minutes then he dies like a bitch*.

I didn't like the game much, I went to the school then stopped playing because I got bored.

yeah, at first its boring as hell until you get some quests to do.
But, just don't do the main quest. Sucks major balls.
At this point I consider it a sandbox RPG.

You get to kill yourself in the end?

Man, now I want to play it.

You get to kill yourself under retarded circumstances.
The only think that kills you is the radiation of activating the machine, and in your party you probably have a super mutant (resistant to radiation) or a robot that could have easily taken your place.\
Even if you don't do it yourself and you make Sentinel Lyons do it, the game ends anyway.

You can side with the enclave?
You mean by putting in the FEV virus, right?

Ah.
Well the only point of that is the different 10 seconds of a cutscene.

So I beat fallout 3 today, lvl 20 with tesla armor.
The end was far to easy, so i tried making it a little harder.

You will notice the melee weapon. When i found that still to easy, i decided to fight the enclave like a man.

Needless to say, I won.

The piece-o'-shit part of the main quest that just happens to be at the end was far to easy, so i tried making it a little less easy than breathing.

Fix'd.

But seriously though, there isn't really even a boss. You basically follow around a giant uber-robot thing, then go into a building with 4 enclave in it, commit suicide, then the game is over.
Leave it to Bethesda to make you actually pay to see the ending.

Yeah, Fallout 3's ending was really bad, possibly one of the worst in RPG history. But there's an explanation for it, since Bethesda wanted to milk the franchise more by expanding it with downloadable content.

But it was quite fun for the most part and some sidequests were nice.

I'm downloading the newest DLC for it, "The Pitt". Hopefully it will be better than Operation: Anchorage.
