Why am I still here?

Probably should have posted this earlier so I could demo with people, but whatever. Talk about Left 4 Dead and how amazing it is (ignoring the fact that I won't get it for another week) here. No spoilers. The demo takes about 20 minutes to beat through, I have played it for over 15 hours. I dare you to run through the subway map on expert mode by yourself and make it to the turbine room only to get huntered while right before opening the door. Once my friend and I were the only ones left, my friend on temporary health (already going through a last stand). He was a little ahead of me and made it to the safe room only for a hunter to jump out. It killed him while I made it up the stairs to start shooting at it, but then it tackled me. We lost with one guy dead in the safe room, and me dead feet infront of the safe room. PISSED! |

Wow, I just got on the forums to make a topic about this, actually. You beat me to it. Adam got the demo (a friend bought it for him) like a week or so ago, and it was awesome. It came out a couple days ago, and it's even MORE awesome. I spend all my time on it playing versus mode. I kind of have this thing about playing the zombie in zombie games. I'm not so great as a survivor, but man, if the world ever gets infected and I become a zombie, the survivors are doomed. Playing zombies = so so so fun. Really good game. Even better than playing CS zombie maps (but I still <3 those too). Going to go play moar L4D zombies kthxbai. |

I played it at a friend's tonight. It's a pretty nice game, love the emphasis on teamwork a lot of games don't have these days. |

Laaawl. I was in a game the other day. One guy kept going ahead/behind of everyone else and dicking around, and even got someone killed, so they votekicked him. Then, a while later with a new guy, another guy threw a molotov at the safehouse door when the stage loaded before we even left, so my teammates started killing him. Lol. I got the achievement All4Dead where you kill all four when you're a tank, too, whee. Adam gets most of the achievements because it's his computer and game, and he's already gotten almost all the easy/fast ones... BUT I KILLED ALL FOUR. C'MON GAIS. Really love this game. I found a thing on the valve site to get an entire pack of pretty much all valve's games for 99 bucks. It's worth like 300 bucks at least. Going to consider getting it - THAT FRIKKIN INCLUDES PORTAL, GAIS. (<3 portal) |

I do that, but only when 2 of the three others are my friends and we all agree to do it with or without consent from random dude. Played through No Mercy. We got to the rooftop level and right at the end my friend fell behind and got huntered. I ran back to get him as the computers ran to the land pad and then I got boomered. My friend and I died and then the computers came back for us, and died. |

Well, it's annoying that the NPCs make you go first. I remember one time online, we had Francis on NPC because there weren't enough people... The other two guys thought he was a person (not sure why, guess they just assumed) and were getting mad that he wasn't following and keeping up, LOL. |

The AI isn't the brightest thing ever. Friend is dead. Francis is dead. I got caught by one of these long-tongue things. Louis is shooting the regular zombies hitting me, but doesn't try to set me free. We both die a few meters away from the safe area. |

They're smokers. Really unfortunate about playing survivors, you're screwed if you get like 3 hunters out. One hit from a hunter and you're screwed over if there's nobody to help you up. You can sometimes release yourself from a smoker, run from hordes and boomers, tanks are already godmode... But a hunter can screw you over so easily, lol. |

So I was thinking... Speshul zombies before they became zombies - what kind of person were they? Smokers were obviously chainsmokers. (Good thing Bill is immune.) Witches were either prostitutes or anorexic emos. Boomers, must've been 500+ lbs of McDonald's slop. Hunters... I'm going to say athletes on steroids. But then what are tanks? Moar steroids? Hmmm. I know some guys who took broomsticks, tied towels to the ends, doused the towels with gasoline, and lit them on fire for a fireswordfight. T'was for some video for history class on ancient Rome. Fireswordfight. Much better than wrappingpapertubefight. Beat that. (Although, while watching your video, I did have to turn the volume up to tell whether it was clips of the tank's grunts from L4D, or your friend actually talking...) |
