I don't mind atheists but I myself am a Christian.

To be honest I just think its up to every person to make their own spiritual choice. It seems like a waste of time and resources to preach to those who don't care.

I don't like fundamentalist Christians just like I don't like Atheist trolls.
<_< How many people who call themselves Christians actually follow the religion? I dont mind fundamentalists who follow the religion, but those who dont do what they preach piss me off....

Remember... Capitalization is the difference between "I had to help my uncle Jack off a horse.." and "I had to help my uncle jack off a horse.."

and people like that believe what they say (minus the trolls). I have had people blame the crusades on atheism because the people who launched the crusades did so in the name of a different god than the people who argue believe in.

^_^ Of course. They just don't want to admit their religion has been abused by humans in the past.

Every religion (and non-religious groups) can find one who abused it. Christianity and Atheism included. Its not right consider a whole group bad simply because of the work of a vocal minority.

And that is why I never play the Hitler card in religious arguments, unless my opponent tries the Stalin/Mao card. I think we had an argument like that here. I said that since atheists do not share any common guiding principals you can't link the acts of one to the acts of another and find a root cause.

My school has an Atheists/Skeptics club. We have a token christian member. He got backed into a corner by the head of religious studies department (a former evangelical Calvinist christian turned atheist) and then argued that without Christianity he would rob and murder us. We asked him what kept us from doing that and he was quiet. It was funny. But what kind of idea is that? Atheists don't kill and steal, at least not out of proportion.
