If you haven't read the review I wrote on the Gamecube one, go read it beforehand.

Another Naruto game! How come I always end up with those? My sister apparently is on a Naruto shopping spree (she got one on the DS too but I don't plan on ever playing it) and she got this one a week after I got rid of the NGC version.

Why they called this "Revolution" is beyond me. It's like they made the game before Nintendo even announced the official name of the console, which is everything but Revolution. That, or they thought "OH YEAH THIS GAME IS REVOLUTIONARY!" but it's all the opposite. And as far as I know, the Naruto fighting games on the other consoles have a lot more characters than this one (or so my sister says).

So, what's new? Well, there are a lot less characters. They merged the clone characters into only one (instead having both Saucegay and Sharingan Saucegay, there's only one now but he can toggle the Sharingan on/off and things like that), so basically we just lost 3-4 characters right there. Some others have been replaced, like this one dude that died in the anime and was replaced by a newer one, except they have extremely similar movesets. So basically just a model change. Oh yeah, and due to the game having been rushed (the creators ADMITTED this) they didn't have time to throw in some non-clone characters who already were there in the GC version.

The game is as imbalanced as ever, with some characters clearly underpowered while some just rip through everything. This is one of those game that exists not to be a good game, not to be recognized as fun, not to be a balanced fighting game everyone can enjoy, but rather exists for the sole purpose of existing, it's there because even if it isn't good, fun or balanced, it's Naruto and people are going to buy it no matter what.

There's also some new stuff like obstacles you can hide behind, each character now has multiple special attacks to use their Chakra with which is good and gives a bit of strategy to the game, yet some specials are utterly useless and some can almost one hit someone.

The graphics haven't changed much, but things look cleaner overall.

You can use either the GC controller or the Wiimote + Nunchuck, and both work equally well. Again, a balance problem here. When someone uses a special attack now, some instructions appear and you can power up your moves by following them (ex: your character is about to punch the other guy with his right hand, move the remote forward). This cannot be done by GC controller users, who end up being at a disadvantage for not using the Wii controllers. Don't like gimmicks? Well you can't power up your special attacks.

The music is more noticeable this time around, but it still sucks. Except, you actually NOTICE it now.

All in all I have 3 big problems with this game.
It's imbalanced.
The 4-player matches are much slower than 2 player ones. (they lag)
It's Naruto.

Overall though, they seem to have fixed some of the annoying stuff I talked about last time (too many similar/useless characters, all the stages were the same, etc) so I'm gonna give them a:
