If you are a gamer, you hate him automatically. Anyway, in this article he's apparently getting a ton of misconduct charges. Most of these charges are coming from a case revolving around a young man named Devin Moore, who I actually researched a tiny bit when I did a big report thingie on the effects of gaming. Basically, Devin Moore killed a couple of police officers, and Jack Thompson and the families of the victims attempted to blame it on video games. They tried to sue Sony and a ton of other companies. =/ I recall finding a statement from his father saying something about how he knew his son had always been messed up, blah blah blah. But no, let's not blame the parenting. Let's not blame psychological problems. Let's not blame him being in the air force. No, we should blame it on video games. (I'm not saying the air force is going to lead you to kill people, but... Video games are more violent than actually BEING in the freaking military? No, WTF.) Anyway. We has win right hearsz. Jack Thompson is a crazy. |
