They probably owned at least ONE of these.

The Smash Bros. Series or, Nintendo All-Star! Great Fray Smash Brothers in Japan, is an extremely popular series with Nintendo owners and fighting gamers alike. And the newest one, Nintendo All-Star! Great Fray Smash Brothers X, or Super Smash Bros. Brawl, has just arrived a month ago in America. While the UK won't get theirs until Summer 2008, I feel I should, once again, tell them why it's a great game if you like Mario, Pokemon, Zelda, Star Fox, Kirby, Pikmin, F-Zero, Metroid, Mother, Fire Emblem, WarioWare, the NES, and more!!!

Controls
With four controller types, you can find one for you. If you played Melee, you may use the Nintendo Gamecube controller. If you're new to the series, you may use the Wii Remote and Nunchuck, or just the Wii Remote.

The Gamecube controller is the same as Melee. B for specials, A for normal attacks, X and Y to jump, Control Stick to move.

Wii W/ Nunchuck: A to Attack, B for Specials, C-Button to jump, Z to protect yourself.

Wii Remote: 2 for attacks, 1 for specials, Control Pad to jump and move.

Classic Control: Similar to the Gamecube controller.

And if that wasn't enough, you can actually CHANGE the controls! Amazing! Set A to Jump, B to Jump, X and Y for attack and Special!

Gameplay
If you have Smash Brothers or Sisters, you will own them until they shove you in the closet for 3 days without food and have to live on your own urine!

Game play is basic. Attack to win the match. Use items or not if you will. And the new item, "Final Smash", is just an awesome powerful item in which you break it, use it, and DOMINATE!!!

The all-mighty Smash Ball.

Modes
There are many modes. 'Nuff said.

The Stage Builder is a new feature that lets you build stages. Really cool. If you want, make some N64 stages or Melee stages that didn't make it. Of course, this is pretty basic, so use your imagination.

ZOMG!!! I made Fourside from Melee!!!

Album is where you take snapshots from battles and see them. Pretty cool, and there is now a website where you can upload them to.

Replays are when you beat Level 9 CPUs under 3 minutes and save data of that. Or making your own machinima. You move your special camera and make that movie magic.

Trophys are from Melee, so that's regular. But now, you can put them in positions and take snapshots of that too! (Not like that.)

Story Mode
Pretty long, but if you pull an all-nighter on this, you can beat it.
The Subspace Emissary is the replacement for Adventure Mode in Melee. You are in the world full of fighters trying to defeat Tabuu, the evil leader of Subspace. In this story, you can unlock pretty much everyone here. When you get this, this is one of the things that you will try out first.

The Subspace Emissary Logo

And don't say stickers are useless! In SSE, you can use them as power-ups. For example, if you put the sticker Blue Falcon on Capt. Falcon, his attack power increases!!!

Only 4 characters can't be unlock until you beat the SSE once. Sonic, Toon Link, Jigglypuff and Wolf are the 4, and 3 of them are hidden.

That's pretty much all the Subspace info I told anyone.

Graphics
Most Wii owners say, "Graphics don't matter." The SSBB graphics are a little or more better than Melee's graphics, but still good. There are also 2 graphic options. The default are good. The buzzy one makes my eyes bleed, but hey. Graphics are better. There is also widescreen options if the menu is big and large for you. So this is a feat and defeat.

Extras
There are new things called "Challenges". You do what the overlo- challenges tell you, you get a prize. Maybe a Trophy, CD, Sticker, Modes, and more. If you are too lazy to do this, use a Golden Hammer. Sometimes, it may not work though...

Where are the Golden Hammers?

Online
ZOMG THAR R ONLINEZ?!
Yes Master Chief, there is.

Although it can be helluva laggy, it's still fun to teach those Ike users that F-Smash and be reflected with Lucario's B-Down. And if you get a friend code, you can pwn him/her until they cry about some nub who beated them just because they used The Knee.

Play with your buddies and then torture them at school!

Replay Value
With alot of modes and 39 characters, you will have fun for years to come after your Robot Overlords from Nintendo force you to play your Wii and destroy your 360 and Halo 3, but still have to pay for Live because the 360 is connected to the PC and Master Chief is beating you even though he sucks. Then it's feeding time.

Wish You Were Here!
Sadly, some characters, modes, and songs didn't make it in the game. Mewtwo and Roy, 2 of my Melee mains, were cut out and replaced. Pichu, I think, evolved into Pikachu, and the old Pikachu died or something. Some of the "Lost Songs" are still on the disk, but you have to hax your Brawl copy to get them on your PC.

And WHY THE *censored* ISN'T THERE CREATE-A-BRAWLER?!

Overall Grade: 9.5

... It'd be messed up if a gamer didn't know what these games were.

Anyway, I think a 9.5 is too high for Brawl, personally. Was a great game, but it really disappointed me when I played it. I expected more out of it. More newness. More awesome new characters instead of freaking character clones. I expected better.

Ok. If I were to give this game another grade.....

9.2 depending how bad your Internet connection is. Lower, even.

...

Changing from a 9.5 to a 9.2 doesn't mean anything in a silly game rating, and yet you seem serious. -_-;;

I'd give it maybe an 8 at most.
