Picture this: Pre-Indictment court hearing in Paterson, New Jersey... I'm the only "American" in the room that's being charged with something, and I'm the only one using a lawyer rather than a public defender, which I should have because my parents only make a combined $120k per year which is peanuts in NJ... And the outcome is the prosecutor pretty much said "NOT TODAY A-HOLE!" So now I have to face the Grand Jury within the next few months for my disorderly persons charge, and if that case isn't thrown out then I lose my PTI program and get a felony conviction. And you all know what that means: No chance of a decent job so going back to college isn't worth it, Lose my right to vote, and best of all, chance that I'm going to East Jersey State Prison in Rahway... some of you may have seen it on TV... its the one thats just as bad as that San Quentin place in Arizona or New Mexico or wherever... Normally I would go straight for a vodka bottle or pill vial after hearing this but instead I just punched a wall and now my hand hurts real bad... *censored* my life. |
