Final Fantasy music is win. By the way, this link is proof that pop culture should not mix with video games: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MTV_Video_Mus...Game_Soundtrack (Basically, it says that their top 3 for best video game soundtrack were Tony Hawke, DDR, and Mark Ecko blah blah.) I get the feeling that whoever picked out the competing games for the MTV award for video game music doesn't play video games... |

Wow never seen that before. But your totally right. Btw Tony Hawk games aren't even game score its just songs by bands. I like one DDR song, out of how many are there? 1 billion? Also a clothing brand makes for a Shi*y game. |

Oh, Mark Ecko is a clothing brand? My thoughts when I saw it: 1. Tony Hawke is a popular game among people who AREN'T ACTUALLY GAMERS (you know, the people that only buy crappy games based on movies, and some mediocre sports games?) 2. Everybody plays DDR and Guitar Hero, gamer or not, but at least DDR is pretty cool, and... 3. WHO THE HECK IS MARK ECKO? Well, let's see. Tony Hawke has band music, as you said. DDR also has vocal music and all that, so by association, I'm assuming Mark Ecko also has the same type of music. A video game should NOT win a music award if the music wasn't made for the video game. Zelda music is made for Zelda, FF music is made for FF, the Mario theme makes appearances in other games but it's not like it was written by some random emo band. I can understand DDR, but the whole game is music and a dance pad, of course it has cool music. If someone is going to have an award for a top video game soundtrack or score, it better freaking be a real game with real video game music, not some half-arsed game made by clothing or sports companies who put in some cheap punk music so they can sell to 10-year-olds. I hate MTV now more than I ever have before. *Sobs* (Also, I had to look up the Mark Ecko game now. Gamespot made it sound interesting, but THIS says otherwise.) (EDIT - Oh, apparently it's Marc, not Mark. ... Oh well.) |

I agree. Yes its a clothing brand. Ecko , made by Marc Ecko. I think getting up had rap in it. Also i have hated mtv sinced they started to put dating shows on. I'm pretty sure thats like 70% of what it is now. They should change thier title since there is very little music. |

The only good part of MTV was Celebrity Deathmatch, pretty much. Also, speaking of video game scores... They're fun to learn to play. I know some sites with sheet music for video games, mostly Final Fantasy. But yeah, best music? Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger/Cross, some other Square games, and also Zelda. Mario's not bad, but meh. Not as good as Square or Zelda in music. It's hard to compete with Nobuo Uematsu. I never really got to play Suikoden, but I know that one has some good music, too. I'd say RPG's and adventure games (like Zelda) seem to have the best music in general... |

MTV is to music as KFC is to chicken, as a wise man once said. |
