Wasn't quite sure where to put this topic...oh well.

Who can give me a walk-through for using this program? I get it, basically, but I'm having trouble putting in video clips and audio clips, transitions and giving it a title, etc...Who'd like to help me?

Oh, and for some reason, pretty much all of the songs that I have on my computer are the wrong type of file and won't import into Windows Movie Maker. Is there any way I can fix this?

Oh, it's easy.

At least it was on my old compy...

On my new one I ran into the same problem as you. So I can't help you with that...

As far as transitions, it's easy. Simply click the Edit thing, drag the appropriate transition intbetween your clips, and voila.

The title should be fairly easy, though I've never done it, I'll go try it out and edit this post in a minute...

EDIT:

Ok, so go to edit again and click on title & credits.

I have a choice of:

Title at the Beginning
Title before the selected clip
Title on the selected clip
Credits at the end

Click title at the beginning, it'll ask for you to enter text and then give you an example of what appears in the preview pane. If you don't like it, there are little places below where you type your text where you can edit the font, font color, background, text animation, etc.

And voila.

Well, how can I convert the files into the correct ones that WMM allows?

Also, I'm having trouble uploading the video to YouTube. How might I save it into the correct format so I can put it on YouTube and the like?

WMM puts it into a WMV format.

So, merely google WMV converter and... voila

Same should work with the audio files.
