Isn't swordless link activated by the use of Crooked Cartage? |

I thought you were a master at glitches? XD I guess not, lawl. Crooked cartridge and Swordless Link cannot be done on the Wii version, only on N64. Swordless Link can only be done on an earlier version of OOT - Either the golden limited edition cartridge, or an early edition of the regular grey cartridge. (Which you can check the edition through some other glitchy thingie, blah.) Crooked cartridge is where you lift the left side of the cartridge slightly out and it enables you to get past obstacles you usually couldn't. As in Mido, rocks, doors like in the Temple of Time, etc. Whoo. ^^ Swordless Link is where you save and restart after Ganon knocks the sword out of your hand in the ending before you get the sword back, and you don't have a sword. Thus you can trigger a TON of glitches from that. Those two are awesome glitches. N64 OOT > Wii OOT. ^^ |

I knew what crooked cartage was, And Crooked cartage isn't a glitch. A glitch is something that happens ingame, normally when you bypass a certain trigger event(such as map clipping, bomb explosions etc). Crooked Cartage would go under game modification, same as CD streaming for Twilight princess, Since you are messing with the game disc or cartage in CC case. As for Swordless Link, i do recall hearing about that. Never really tried it though, manly due to the fact i don't have an early oot cartage. |

Actually, I've never actually did the Swordless Link glitch. He knocked the sword outta mah hand, I saved, restarted, and I still had the sword. It was on my old cartridge OoT. |

Okay, whatever. Most people don't really care about the technical terms, it's just changing things around in the game that you normally wouldn't be able to do. Different ways, same thing, woo-hoo.
Then you don't have an older edition of it. I can't remember exactly, but I believe that the older editions where you can do Swordless Link also show red blood instead of green from Ganon. |

Ok so you can't get some of these glitches on Wii OOT, so does that mean you can't get them on GC OOT also? (I only have OOT on the Gamecube Collector's Disk) |

i have it on the gamecube collectors disk too, and also in its original state as a (bronze?) n64 cartridge. So it may not be available on the wii, but maybe it is on the gcn? i think that is true. They may not have done much debugging and stuff to get it to work on the gamecube's processor and such, but the wii is different..It comes out on virtual console as an INDIVIDUAL game again, so they should redo it. btw, post a topic in the newbie corner cheerio |

Crooked cartridge involves THE CARTRIDGE. So no, it doesn't work on anything other than a system that uses THE CARTRIDGE - aka N64. The OOT on GCN shouldn't have Swordless Link either. Why would they take the very first edition and put it on a remake? |

Classic glitch- Ganon's Tower, you can enter the main building without getting the six keys. In one of the rooms, you drag a stone over to the wall, and jump-attack it. The recoil sends you out of the arena. If you make the right moves, you can get under the beam and into the castle. CLIP: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lM0V_6p6SLk |

Yeah... :p
That was so cool. I did something like that in Metroid Prime once on accident, and when I tried to do it again I couldn't... I somehow went through some wall and then I was just sitting in blackness and that creepy music that comes on when you enter a room full of space pirates started playing. I walked back through the wall and it stopped :Smile Tongue: |
