Even if everybody else got voices, Link shouldn't, or he's gonna start complaining about everyone telling him what to do.

there is a very simple way to solving the voice problem. Add an option to turn voices on or off. Then people who want voices in Zelda (Me) can have them, and people who don't (Naoko) don't have to put up with them.

We all know what Link's voice sounds like anyway. "HYA! UH! EEEE-YAAAH!" He even talked in Soul Calibur II, although he spoke gibberish. I'd rather hear him form an actual sentence than grunting like a caveman.

A blind person listing to the game would think it's nothing but a porno the way Link grunts and yells.

Lawl. Nice, MS. XD I have to agree.

Although improvement is nice, they've got to be careful. You want Link with a voice now, but careful what you wish for. After OOT/MM, people complained about the length of the game and the sizes of area... Well, WW fixed that, didn't it? And then people (veteran people for the most part) hated MM. Who knows what might happen?

My point is this:

Link's silence is a character quirk. It's part of what makes Link, Link. If you take it away, Link's simply another generic hero with weird clothes. The silent heroes are usually the ones that seem the most brave, too. Silence = bravery in the video game world (Hello, CRONO, anyone? He freakin' dies, and still says nothing!).

I like Link as a silent guy. I don't get emotionally attached to Link's personality, because there really isn't much of one. And I enjoy that. So please, for my sake, keep Link quiet.

And I really wish that they would connect the games together as far as story goes. They did a great job doing it with Wind Waker, so why did they change it up with Twilight Princess?

They are connecting them together. Look at the places in TP, for one. It's not so extreme, but I think later games are really going to connect the games more. TP did a little bit, but it could've done more. Meh. I've got to agree with this though.

He may talk a little bit fast, but I believe him on this theory. The only thing i don't understand is Twilight Princess. A game has to come between it and wind waker, because at the end of Twlight Princess Hyrule was not flooded, although the door to the twilight realm was shattered

Personally, it is broke. Simply because games are evolving. If you are going to use that quote for videogames, then Nintendo would still be making games for the NES.

but a gamer's tastes change, and if we stayed 8-bit people would be like WTF, I WANT GRAFIX LIKE THE CABLE TV. and they'd boycott nintendo or something, and sega would come out with their 32 bit thingy. nintendo releases the 16 bit super NES to compare, but fails powerwise, so we still have the war that starts there. and Nintendo will try to push in the CDi and Sony CD to combat the Sega CD. basically it's all war war war for money.

sorry i know the full history of nintendo lolz i read their corpobiography

Link's silence is a character quirk. It's part of what makes Link, Link. If you take it away, Link's simply another generic hero with weird clothes.

This is why Link should NEVER be given a voice.

And he has nothing to say, really. I mean, he just gets ordered around by everyone, what's he gonna say if he gets a voice? He's just gonna say some useless replies, because we know Link ALWAYS agrees to help. Okay, I will help you, yes, I'll be right there, okay, I will catch your chickens for you.

Rather Link has a voice or not, the characters who do speak could at least have voices IMO.

Everyone that's not named Ganondorf, Link, or Zelda should get a voice. But what will happen then? Everyone'll complain that they don't, so they'll give them some, and everyone'll complain they suck.

You know. You are so right. No matter what Nintendo does, they will never please everyone. But I guess that's how everything works.

And personally, I'd like to see a Zelda MMO one day. Where you can choose your race. (Hylian, Goron, Zora, Gerudo, etc.) And it could be based on the Imprisoning War or something like that. That is my dream. BUT NO MONTHLY FEES!
