It's funny what you can do with a few spare hours and the neighbor's trash. I found an ATI videocard in the trash one day and I spent a few hours searching for a driver for it. Turns out it is a relatively older, yet much faster-running videocard than the standard one that comes with this computer. It takes about half as much memory to run and is has much better grafix then the standard. I can also connect 2 monitors to the computer using this! the ATI card also has a tuner on it, so I'm trying to find a way to get my compy to run it. I got the video capture device to recognize it...but I need input. |

i think it's either an ATI XTREME VR or might be something else cuz it has a TV tuner build into it. It says on the side 3D RAGE II + DVD it runs a lot smoother than this computers initial graphics card.... I'm still trying to get the damn TV Tuner Card to work >:o |

I assumed. I'm still trying to figure out how, but since I'm not there, I can't promise you anything. No, I can't tell w/o being there. Troubleshoot site TV Tuner Use that to troubleshoot. |

Well, I wouldn't know myself. However, yeah, you probably need a correct ATI driver in order to use the tuner... and you probably need better software, too. Or the thing could just be busted... why don't you just ask your neighbor that you got it out of thier trash from? |
